Catherine is a ray of sunshine the instant you arrive.Efficient and helpful—one of those people you randomly meet whose upbeat energy lifts your mood. I’ve been to several LA Fitness locations that would benefit from a Catherine at the front desk.

They won’t allow you to cancel your membership unless you come in person between 9-5 pm (when people work) and see a a manger. The managers aren’t always there, so in exchange for the intentional inconvenience and coming in 3 times, I’m leaving a 1 star review. Eye for an eye.

Great location. Friendly staff. There are always people walking around cleaning every time I visit no matter the time of day. There’s a pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Machines are typically available at busy times. No basketball court, unfortunately. 4 stars because inconsistent rates and little room for contract negotiation for a long time member.

I've been working out at this location since it was Bally's Fitness. I have a signature membership, but I tend to make my way to this location. I used to live in the area, but not anymore. I like the fact there is a big swimming pool, a running track upstairs and curtains in the showers. Other than that, they pretty much kept it the same. Big open floor, lots of free weights and universal machines and lots of cardio machines. The staff is always cool and helpful, the members are people that live in the neighborhood or just the usuals who travel. I really like this location. Recommend visiting.

Staff are kind and constantly cleaning. Also has nearly every kind of gym equipment you could want.Unfortunately, the pool, sauna, and hot tub are down ~30% of the year and our memberships are not credited to reflect this.

Cool two-story gym with a track, big pool, and hot tub. Plenty of equipment and space and way less intimidating and crowded than XSport (the comparable gym in the area)

It is hard to run a business, so I only give 5 stars. The pool is currently broken Jan 26th 2024. The roof leeks and there are buckets placed about to catch the drips from the open pipes. A lot of the matts need to be replaced.Lots of people were there and it felt cramped but not crowded. If that makes sense. Ads for snickers bars and Gatorade nock offs feel out of place.Other patrons were friendly but the tour guide was not a person who works out so she didn't really know anything.Lots of people were asking each other questions. Where do I find XYZ machine? How much does this weigh? Does this look right to you?1 or 2 smith/deadlift machines.Racketball courts looked fun but some of the panels had gaps and you couldn't rent rackets or balls.I lifted things and everyone there was hotter than me. My girlfriend seemed like the hottest girl but I'm biased. I felt like I was the 2nd coolest person there but probably only one of the dudes would ever want to be my friend.Everyone was very good at avoiding eye contact. About half the people were very into checking themselves out. I am not good at avoiding eye contact. If people are moving its hard to look away. Maybe I'd get better at it.I read a lot of the signs on the wall but none seemed like class schedules.I don't know what you're looking for in a gym but I can imagine a scenario where this is what you want. I enjoy running outside and lifting alone. This was not a good place for that. Stayed from 4 to 6pm on a Friday.Hope this was helpful.

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. The gym is pretty large, plenty of machines. Not the biggest dumbbell rack, but they have 1 of most weights. The sauna works, hot tub works, pool is a good temp. The locker room is very big. Plenty of space.

Terrible LA Fitness location. The parking there is horrible, the location in the building is awkward, and the staff are rude. The trainers there all seem to have the "aggressive tough guy alpha male" persona going which is ridiculous and they can be confrontational about really petty things. I've never had any problem at any other LA Fitness location. Really toxic employee culture there, and it ruins the experience. LA Fitness is a good chain but this location is a bad one.

Convenient location if you are visiting or living in the Lakeview area. I was in Chicago for the holidays and staff was very welcoming to help me get my workouts done for the week.
