A new favorite! We had the fried rice (incredible), the chicken curry (amazing), and the Cha Gio (to die for)!

Beautiful French Colonial Decor.I ordered the Beef Sesame Ban Uot which was flavorful but I think could they could have added more sesame.Cha Gio Fried rolls was so good we ordered 2 plates! The Pho Bo was mediocre but the price is fair. The beef slices was thicker than I liked but the quality and value is there. Soup stock was too sweet for me. I asked for an extra slice of lime but the waitress never brought it.The creme au citron dessert was delicious. We ordered a $10 bottle of sparkling water but when we finished the bottle the waitress immediately opened another bottle without asking us. Normally we would have no problem opening another bottle but the waitress should have asked. A simple "would you like another bottle" but no...so I removed 10 dollars from the 20% tip and hence the 2 star service rating.

I've eaten there on a regular basis. We very much are fans and loyal customers of le colonial. When we got there they had other tables and instead put us in the worst seat in the back by the waiter pass. Then we moved and ordered etc. The dumplings were under cooked (raw chicken) and they removed from the bill.

My wife and I are long-time Chicagoans and we patronize many fine restaurants in the city. Without question, Le Colonial is one of the best restaurants in Chicago. This weekend we celebrated my birthday there. The service and food are excellent, all taking place in beautifully appointed, lively surroundings. Le Colonial is definitely "the place" for special occasions. We have been to Le Colonial several times and look forward to returning again!

We enjoyed another fantastic dining experience at Le Colonial last night. The food, service, and ambiance are all spectacular, and we now count Le Colonial our favorite restaurant in Chicago!

It breaks my heart to leave a bad review because I used to love Le Colonial, but my party and I left feeling very disappointed tonight. Everything we ordered, including the famous red snapper, was cold. It also came out incredibly fast (which logically, means it should have been fresh and hot because it wasn't sitting for long right?-WRONG). I think they now pre-cook the food, and reheat when ordered...it's just not the same quality. I saw other recent reviews similar to my experience and I was truly hoping it was just a fluke, but it's unfortunately not. Great place for vibes, cocktails, and desserts. Skip dinner though.

Very saddening. Have been to this restaurant dozens of times and have been on average coming weekly for the last 2 months. My wine had a spider in it and the waiter brought us a new glass but did not even apologize for the issue much less mention it again. We were provided the bill and closed out by another waitress - an extremely unique situation for a restaurant my friends and family have come to love and that is respected as a welcoming / nice restaurant. I am still unsure how to respond given the restaurant and staff have been usually great yet we are baffled with how poor our experience was during this occasion.

Take the elevator up and you will be taken to another world. The food here was stellar and we had some of the most attentive waiters. As this is a gold coast location its very seen and not heard service (which really isn't my style as a born working class individual) but I still had some of the sweetest waiters and waitresses.Despite all that the fish was very fresh and very well done. You do pay a lot for the experience and some of the food just wasn't 10/10 more....8/10. But the presentation and space were immaculate. My heart goes out to the chef whoever you are you made me and my girlfriends late valentines day amazing!Parking: There is just not going to be much parking near downtown. So we ubered this tripWheelchair accessibility: It's very accessible....until you get to the bathrooms-- I suspect they're up a flight of stairs to avoid dine and dashers but it's a very different kind of experience in that circumstance.

Amazing! I had the tuna tartare which had a spectacular amount of caviar (which I didn't even read), the best probably I had in my last R12. I also had baby back ribs and it was very good!

My better half and I sat at the bar and met Mel - the fantastic and immensely amiable bartendress. Mel had wonderful suggestions to recommend from the array of delectable-sounding menu items. We tried several items - and all were incredible. We also enjoyed several cocktails and enjoyed those too. I particularly loved the spicy jalapeño-tinged margarita. An A+ experience. We will definitely be back. Thank you for inquiring.

I love love love this restaurant I love the vibe, I prefer sitting in the bar area. It's a little bit more vibe and moody and I love the lighting, the food is always 10 out of 10 and we had a great waiter, so it was lovely all around highly recommend.
