This review is purely employment based. Because I feel reviews come in many forms. So if anyone is lookin for a place to work don’t work here they transfer you around. Apply with no communication. Now in my opinion when I can’t get a hold of someone about an application and constantly having to call and being told that no one is there when I have called several times I just take it as you have to know someone to work here. But that Also goes into is this how they treat customers/guests when they have an issue. I don’t know but at this point I wouldn’t let them entertain anything of mine or me because of this issue alone. Again my opinion is purely employment based.

The food is consistently good and the service is too. I like almost all of their restaurants and always have. So why only 3 stars? The reason is at L’Woods (and perhaps other Lettuce restaurants?) they add a 3% surcharge, at least in carry out…possibly dine in, too. They used to post it and let you know in advance along with an offer to remove it as desired but apparently they don’t post it now. I don’t recall seeing that information tonight. To be fair they did list a “service charge” on my receipt which I didn’t see until I was home. Not noticing anything, I asked if they were still adding the 3% surcharge. They confirmed the surcharge and politely removed it at my request. I believe this surcharge may have been intended for the benefit of the kitchen staff which may or may not be true. Regardless, Lettuce Entertain You can well afford to adequately fund their operations including decent and fair compensation for their employees without adding an obscure “service charge”. If they need to raise their prices (and they have) so be it. However, I refuse to subsidize Lettuce beyond paying the price on the menu and leaving a generous gratuity. This “service charge” leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Not a good thing for a restaurant.

This company is harassing a vegan restaurant for using Lettuce in their title. The restaurant is called Lettuce Feast and they serve really great vegan chicken sandwiches. This restaurant isn't even vegan so the name is not as clever when you use it. Just leave the company alone and let them continue to use the title! It will not drive your sales down to take away customers. Your restaurant serves meat!

I dined at Wildfire in Schaumburg this evening. I will never dine at Wildfire again after my experience. We ordered and was eating our steaks when a young man began sweeping the carpet and creating a large cloud of dust and dirt toward us. I asked him to please stop. He went to the other side of the table and started to sweep again with dust and dirt flying. I asked to speak to a manager and was told they must sweep before closing. No apology.

We EL Woods the person at the desk was just rude. I ordered a cheese Burger. The bottom bun was hard. Definitely not going back.

The server I had wasn’t great but the service I had from the rest of the restaurant was fantastic. There was too much salt on my wing weenie and clams with red sauce and I told my server he rolled his eyes and didn’t believe me. The sous chef came back with a new plate that was much much better and he explain to me what happened with the first dish. Still left the gentleman a 23% tip but he didn’t take itAs he misunderstood and took five dollars instead of only leaving five dollars that’s kind of crazy. But management helped and he got his full tip and I got my five dollars back

LEYE acts like Year 1 in restaurant industry. Business Admin is determined to make dining experience a chore. Worst than Paris Club. Wednesday is going to be my first & last Dine-In.PICKUP/DELIVERY at Sushi-san — excellent service through Caviar that was 15 mins early. Free delivery for $15+ order. Before completing order, red text appears stating that Lettuce is paying 30% surcharge of subtotal. What's that got to do with me? Am I supposed to feel bad that I should not order a delivery?DINE-IN at Sushi-san — $30 deposit through Tock with cancellation policy & final sale. Phone Lady says it's a "forgiving" cancellation policy. There is also a 4% Covid Surcharge for dining in that can be removed upon request. WHY do I have to fight for the right to dine? I'm NOT questioning the price or negotiating for a discount. ?REWARDS PROGRAM — no credit on TO GO, Pickup or Delivery. ?? I have ZERO reason to hang around LEYE.GOOD NEWS — quality and prep are the same. ??THE PROBLEM — Years of business has made Lettuce complacent instead of efficiency & innovation. Top Heavies & money pit collabs are also liabilities instead of investment as they are NOT doing anything to promote the business or it's subgroup. Nothing wrong with regularly collecting a paycheck while eating bon-bons. Good for them, Bad for business. That's all. Chefs that are doing Table Dining or Omakase are $$ worthy.Crack showed up in Dec 2019 with misleading Wow Bao promo. My worst to date. Additionally, frozen Bao's have MSG. Microwavable frozen potstickers has no sauce and no instructions on how to microwave. ?Aba and Ema shows lack of creativity as menu is basically same in different locations & name. ?Silly LETTUCE RESTAURANT WEEK that was only available via Dine-In. ? FYI, if Alinia can pack a 6-course menu with dessert, so can you.Good Night, and Good Luck!

My parents have been frequenting LEY restaurants as long as I can remember. So, when my wife and I moved downtown we were also doing the same knowingly as well as unknowingly. My mom recommended we join the frequent diner program and we did. It has been one of the best decisions we have made. There isn't a bad restaurant we have been to and their lunch spots like M Burger and Wow Bao are great. They have great events like Oyster Fest and Windy City Smokeout(I liked this even though I am not a fan of country music). Earning money back towards all the restaurants is great for people who eat at their restaurants all the time. They have great promos like triple points on gift cards in the spring, scratch off discounts/extra points in the summer and buy $100 in gift cards get $25 more around the holidays. I've never had a bad meal at LEY and have had some really great meals as well. A great company.
