I love L’Occitane products but the two sales associates at this location were incredibly rude. I walked in and there was no one else in the store, but the two associates did not say a word to me. One of them stayed on her phone the entire time. When I checked out, the only thing the other associate said to me was to ask me my name. No offers of help, no thank you. Horrible experience.

I am extremely disappointed with L'Occitane's customer service based on my shopping experience today. From the moment I presented my store credit to Marshall, the salesperson, her initial response was less than professional. She uttered an expletive and displayed a very negative attitude. When I inquired about a mall employee discount, she promptly refused, citing that she couldn't apply it because she had already scanned my voucher. I questioned her on this, as the transaction had not been processed yet, and the receipt had not been printed. However, she stubbornly declined to reapply the discount. Even after I informed her that I was familiar with the procedure, she chose not to engage in any further conversation and simply repeated the same expletive. Following this transaction, I realized there was a remaining balance on my account, so I decided to purchase another item. When Marshall insisted on taking my previous receipt from my hands, I hesitated and asked her why she needed it when she could retrieve a duplicate copy from the system. I explained that I would require it for potential returns or exchanges in the future. Her response was, "That's your problem; I need it from you." I refused and walked away. I'll leave it to the readers to assess the quality of customer service here. Furthermore, I must mention that Marshall made no effort to promote L'Occitane's products. She didn't greet me, placed her personal jacket on the wrapping table in front of the customer, and allowed her personal cell phone to ring incessantly for 60 seconds with an extremely loud ringtone. There was no mention of any special promotions on PWP or VIP benefits. This was a terrible experience. I won't be returning, and I cannot recommend this place to others. I still love the brand, but I won't be returning to this particular location.

I have always heard great things about L’occitane products. I went to the store in Chicago on 520 Michigan avenue today with my husband to treat myself for my bday! The sales associates were friendly & easy to work with—especially Rebecca…she is the employee I worked with and she introduced me to the fragrance-free hand cream w/ shea butter & I love it! Perfect after a blustery day!! I highly recommend stopping in and checking it out!! Rebecca is the manager and runs this store very well. Highly recommend!!!

Excellent products and super helpful staff. I went to get a face cream and the way the I was treated by their employee Yasra was amazing. She had the perfect knowledge of each product and she guided me well. Loved it.

Very nice boutique shop for smelly good things. This is where I purchase all of my soaps and hand creams. If the French know about anything most, it's beauty products and food. Although the price point is high, the quality of the product rivals none. The staff here are all accommodating and thoroughly informative. Definitely stop in if you're looking for nice gifts for those who appreciate quality skincare and bath products.
