Throughout the process, they kept me updated with clear communication and genuine empathy. Arguably criminal -- AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.I took my cat over an upset stomach and refusal to eat, only to be charged $225 to be told she's picky, fine whatever right?Later that evening my cat vomited many times which lead to me having to rush her to another animal hospital. Despite a blood test done at Logan Square Animal Hospital, they did not run a pancreatitis test (which is fatal in cats). The new vet diagnosed her with either megaesophagus, pancreatitis, inflammatory bowel disease -- a lot difference than, "a cat just being a cat."If I didn't take my cat to another provider, frankly she could've died. The lack of professionalism, cleanliness, and overall responsibility at this place is ridiculous.Oh, and they're known for not sharing records with other vet providers in the area.Absolute quack doctors, and they should not be open.

I really don't like writing a negative review. I feel like I have no other choice because I want to spare people the trouble of having similar experiences. Do not go here.I've been bringing both of my cats to this vet for over a decade. Things have gotten so much worse here over the past few years. All of their records are illegible handwritten documents that they refuse to scan for you. They would mix my cats up because of this outdated system. We're talking thousands of manila folders crammed with hand written papers. Sketchy system at best. Most recently we took our adult cat in because he had been grinding his teeth. The doc took him in, apparently cleaned his teeth, gave him shots he didn't need and charged us almost a THOUSAND DOLLARS. When my husband went to pick the cat back up one of the front desk people handed my husband the cat and the bill. The doc never came out to explain what procedures they did, what the grinding was, or what the medication they were giving us was/was for. My cat still grinds the same tooth and we had to get a second opinion. A thousand dollars down the drain and we have the same problem as when we started. My other cat is on prescription food that THEY prescribed, but they refuse to give me a picture of the script so that I can order it to be delivered to my house through Chewy. They want me to come in and buy it through the vet. I'm never going back again.Find a vet who can at least PRETEND to care about your pet. Honestly this place just feels like a shakedown.***UPDATEBecause of this review they have retaliated by denying my cat his prescription food. When my husband called to ask why Chewy isn't getting the needed approval to send the food they stated that it was because of this review and hung up on him. They absolutely do not care about animals.

Won't be taking my dog here anymore. After suddenly collapsing, I took my elderly dog Lacey here. They insisted that it was due to her kidney disease, which was causing her to shake and lose balance. They kept her for fluid therapy. When I picked her up, she looked worse than ever and was covered in urine, they didn't even check on her before handing her over. I took her to another vet, who said within 10 minutes that my dog had vestibular disease, and that her symptoms were not related to her kidney disease. They gave her new meds, and within a week she was recovering. When my new vet saw the notes passed along from this office, they couldn't even read what the vet had written. There were no quantities of fluids or comprehensible treatment plan at all. Not only did this vet waste my money, but they failed due diligence in identifying what was wrong with my dog.

Do NOT take your animals here!My cat broke her arm the week of thanksgiving - We called Logan Sq. Animal Hospital, they gave us a reasonably priced quote over the phone for splint changes ($65 visit, $60 sedation and $40 for splint).I took her in for her first splint change and they told us “we have to sedate her and cannot sedate her if she has eaten today, bring her back”. Although they did not do any form of exam/checkup or splint change they changed us $65.Naively, I went back - I followed their instructions not to feed my cat before bringing her in, which also meant she was completely unmedicated (and not happy).I checked in with the nurses up front, the doctor came out to take my cat & told me “we will call you when she is finished”. I immediately panicked and started asking questions about why this is a drop off appointment without my knowledge, how long the sedation would take & how long the splint process would take. He said “we have other things to do”, and walked away. They charged me $340 when I’d originally been quoted $165 for the splint change.I asked for a refund, and my cat back. The nurses at the desk were helpful, but when I said I couldn’t afford it & wanted a second opinion, the vet started talking down to me saying “other places will charge you more”, etc. Never going back, not sorry about it.

I've had bad experiences at other vets. I've been very happy with Logan Square animal hospital. They seem to really care about animals where other vets I've been to seem more about the financial aspect.

Very happy with my visit here- the doctor and staff treated my cat with care and compassion. The doctor was also very kind and patient explaining his prognosis and the treatment options.I showed up expecting the worst, and left feeling relieved and hopeful. Two weeks later, my kitty is back to his old self again- hooray!

Wish I never would have gone here. I should have read reviews first and heeded the warnings. I couldn’t get in anywhere else close to me and I need my cat to be seen immediately. I took my cat in because he wasn’t peeing (which is an emergency for male cats especially)After showing me X-rays, they started working on my cat before I even okayed it. They began the process, pressuring me to agree with the cost which was outrageous. Over 1300 dollars for an X-ray, catheter, and three nights to stay. Keep in mind this place is a complete dump. They didn’t even have a clean exam room. As I was asking the “vet” about the procedure IN TEARS he literally LAUGHED when I asked him questions. He was not sympathetic at all. This “business” preys on the desperate and sucks them dry of their money. Which wouldn’t be the worst if my cat WASNT DEAD NOW! I had to have him put down yesterday because he came home not any better after his “treatment”. They told me I need to have him treated again with an expensive surgery that they refused to even give me an estimate for. After already spending thousands…I understand that pet care is expensive. But the lack of professionalism, the lack of concern, the pressure they put you in to “save your pet” when they aren’t even trying.I am baffled that this place is still in business. I want his license revoked. He is responsible for multiple pet deaths and he should not be in business anymore.

Just took our cat here. Unfortunately. He had a UTI and we took him in to get looked at. The vet here pressured several different procedures all ranging several thousand dollars. After spending $1,400 on a procedure, we are most likely going to have to put the cat down, and the vet told us they figured it would happen because we didn't have enough funds to do all of these procedures (more than half of which seemed VERY unnecessary). If the vet "figured'' the cat wouldn't survive, why pressure us to spend the $1,400 for a pointless procedure? We called to ask what the rest would cost to save the cat, but they refuse to give us a quote until they've began the procedure already. I have to explain the death of our beloved pet to my young children because of the vet's negligence. Strongly recommend finding someone else.

Good reputation. Great prices and great veterinary medicine. I highly recommend this vet hospital to everyone. They've done a great job for my cats. All of the necessities needed to maintain my pets health provided here. I'm happy with this place and I will keep coming back.
