DO NOT SHOP HERE! We bought a dishwasher and refrigerator from Lowe's. For the dishwasher we also purchased haul-away installation. For the fridge we purchased installation. The dishwasher installer made me very uncomfortable and said some very unprofessional things while doing the install. The big problem was the fridge delivery. The fridge installation is supposed to include the relocation of an existing fridge within the household. The delivery installers through an absolute fit when we asked them to relocate the fridge, called us liars and were extremely unprofessional. I even pulled up the website and they still refused. So we were stuck with two refrigerators in a small space. The coordinator at Lowe's was equally unhelpful and rude. After they left we discovered a small dent in the fridge and they refused to honor their delivery protection.

I ordered interior doors from Lowes for delivery (about $1,500 in doors). The first time they showed up, all the doors were damaged. Second time, they no call no showed in the delivery window. Third time they only delivered 3 out of the 4 doors. Finally on the 4th and final time all my doors were delivered. Took over three weeks, was total nightmare trying to coordinate. I would highly recommend not ordering doors from them. See photos and receipt. They said they would call me back and offer a solution. Never did.

Two months to get a storm door installed due to the awful business Lowe’s decided to contract out its work to. Terrible reflection on the company and I will never be doing any major business with Lowe’s again. Absolutely dreadful first impression.

Staff is always friendly and helpful. This is a "mini-Loews" - so it does not have the floor space to keep all the items. I often find myself driving to Home Depot after walking over and finding that they don't carry a typical item due to lack of space. Still, better than nothing

Store closes too early. The store is nice, but this is the second time I've tried to shop there and the store has closes earlier than the nearby competitors. Unfortunately, the competitor doesn't have the product I needed.
Edit - to clarify, I don't think the hours are unclear or not being followed; the competitors stay open later, which makes it more convenient to shop there instead.

This place is like a person with split personality. The customer service women in the AM need to go to sleep the night before and have their coffee before they go into work.
It’s always something this location.

WORST.STORE.EVER! i purchased items and they are holding them hostage. delivery has been rescheduled over and over again without my knowledge or approval. DJ Daniel has been the absolutely worst person to deal with in delivery. just go to home depot if you value your time and money

Do not purchase window treatments from Lowes. We ordered thousands of dollars of window treatments on 6/1/24. They were supposed to be delivered 6/24/24. It’s 9/27/24 and we still don’t have all the window treatments. Delivery dates moved multiple times, sometimes without notice. Some shades arrived damaged. Some shades were supposed to arrive but didn’t. We had to force Lowes to show us that the missing and damaged blinds had been reordered, and the delivery date for those has come and gone with zero communication from Lowes. The shades that did arrive are of poor quality and look nothing like what was on display in the store and on the website. I’ve called customer service multiple times and they tell me they can’t do anything. I’ve contacted the store managers via email multiple times and they said they’d get back to me, but after multiple follow ups over the past 11 days I still haven’t gotten a response. I do not recommend Lowes to anyone.

Very disappointed in the customer service at this location. Found the employees to be particularly cold and disinterested in helping me. Also an employee laughed at my wife which I considered to be rude.

If you pay for same day delivery (through the Lowe’s website, the pick up driver can cancel simply because they don’t want to handle that order and Lowe’s takes zero responsibility. Both online and this sure locations said “there’s nothing we can do to guarantee it.” I haven’t seen a “customer care team” care less about customers in my life.

I live 300 miles from Chicago and had contracted Lowe’s at Wicker Park in July 2024 to remove the existing hardwood floor and carpet from my apartment in South Loop, Chicago, and replace it with new hardwood floor. The price was $8000/-. Things went smoothly till we signed the contract, after that the trouble started. By the time the project was done, the cost increased to $10,300 (29% increase) and I had to make 46 phone calls to Lowe’s and 22 to their sub-contractors to get the floor installed. Lowe’s workers are not to blame here, but Lowe’s execution of the contract was terrible and has left me very unhappy.
While we signed contract with Lowe’s, unbeknown to us, Lowes hired five contractors to work on our project: (1) One group to measure the floor, (2) another to deliver the new flooring material, (3) a person to turn off the gas supply to the stove (you need a certified person to do that), (4) Ultimate Home Service, a contractor to hire the contractor no 5, who removed the old flooring and installed the new flooring.
Trouble started with the delivery of material – we had paid for the delivery of material inside our apartment but on the day before the delivery, delivery contractor told us that he did not have crew to bring the material to our apartment, instead he would leave the 43 boxes of supplies on the main road outside our Apartment building. After numerous phone calls to Lowe’s on the day of delivery, we did manage to have the material delivered to our apartment. The contractor delivering the material was extremely rude.
On the day of installation, we had to remind Lowe’s to send someone to turn off the gas supply to the stove. They had no one scheduled. After 7-8 phone calls between Ultimate Home Service and Lowe’s, Lowe’s sent someone to turn of the gas.
When the installers (contractor no 5) arrived, they found out that extra plywood was required to be put on the floor where carpet was removed from. Contractor no 1 who was contracted by Ultimate Home Service for measuring and estimating material required did not include the extra hardwood in the estimate. We requested Lowe’s to honor the contract as it was written or give us a break on the price but they did not take responsibility. Similarly, Ultimate Home Service did not accept the responsibility. We had to pay an extra $1800 in labor and $500 in material to obtain the supplies. The installation crew was quite efficient and the completed the work satisfactorily ahead.
I have found Lowe’s workers to be very helpful and courteous. My experience with Lowe’s corporation has been terrible. Rather than Lowe’s being ‘one-stop-shopping’ experience, I had to personally invest hours at end to get the work done. This was a very stressful and very expensive (29% over-budget) project for us. I will never go to Lowe’s for their services.

The fact that Ace Hardware. A STORE SO MUCH SMALLER THAN YOU. has what I'm looking for. really puts you guys to shame. never going back to lowes
