Bonnie and her wonderful staff have taken great care of my previous (now deceased) very geriatric dogs and my new very energetic puppy. All of my dogs have come home happy. I couldn't wish for more. Thank you Lucky Dog!

Our dog absolutely loves it here and it could not be easier to check in and out of daycare. He comes home much cleaner than other places we've taken him to and we've never had an issue with timing, pick up, or drop off. It's small and unassuming, but they're great at what they've set out to do and the convenience cannot be beat.

They have been great so far! Bonnie and staff really love for and care for all dogs as if they were their own! Callie is always excited to walk in, and is in great shape when she leaves.

My dog Winston absolutely loves going here for both daycare and boarding. He gets excited every time I drop him off and is always exhausted (from all the playing with other dogs) when I pick him up. Most importantly, I trust the staff and never feel worried whenever having to drop him off. The owner, Bonnie, is one of the kindest people I know and is passionate about each dog that comes in and out of their facility.I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good daycare or boarding place!

My dog Cooper loves his daycare! Whenever I drop him off, he would go straight in, no second thoughts. Bonnie and her team are great! They love Cooper as if he was their own. I also heard that Cooper met a few girlfriends during playtime ?The best thing was one time I called in the afternoon to ask them if they can give him a bath before he comes home. They were very accommodating because luckily Cooper is a short-haired breed. He came home smelling so nice!Very reasonable price compared to other places in the area. They are very flexible about drop off/pick up. They have an Instagram account so they post updates on there. I can't say enough positive things about this place. Highly recommend if you're looking for a doggy daycare.

Been taking our puppy here for a few years now, and we wouldn't trust anyone else! Bonnie and her team are unmatched. We have a pretty particular breed and taking her to daycare has turned her into a really polite and special pup. Very reasonable pricing, weekend daycare, and boarding too. Rosa is the best :-) The hours are very flexible and pickup and drop off is always really easy and quick. I think this is a great option if you need a no-frills daycare (no video etc) which is perfectly fine with us.

I've been using Lucky Dog for well over ten years, and Luna absolutely loves going there. Bonnie and her staff are wonderful, and when we're out of town, it's a comfort knowing our dog is safe in their extremely capable hands. Highly recommended!

We have 3 younger dogs and the LOVE their time at Lucky Dog. We also love Bonnie who treats all of the dogs as she would her own and truly loves and cares about them. The dogs are so happy when they go there, and they get a lot of good exercise that helps greatly on their days off. Would strongly recommend to anyone considering!

We've been taking our dog here for the past 4 years. I thought it was time to finally write a review. When we first moved from the West Loop to Avondale, I was nervous about finding an affordable and caring spot to send my dog for daycare. From day 1 the owner, Bonnie, has been a genuine, loving, and wonderful person to not only the dogs, but the people as well. My dog who normally shook and dreaded going to his old daycare was suddenly excited and rushing to the car each morning. Bonnie takes the time to develop a relationship with each dog and they all adore her and the staff. Lucky Dog is very affordable compared to other daycare pricing, opens at a reasonable hour so I can get to work on time, and my dog goes crazy just hearing me say Bonnie's name. I'm thankful to have such a great place to leave him during the day.

Hands down the best daycare in Chicago! It's a family owned business and Bonnie is incredible. She's such a sweet woman who you can tell just genuinely loves dogs and what she does. I was a little skeptical at first, but our 11 month old Black Mouth Cur mix cannot get enough of it. We live across the street, and I swear to God, our dog would take himself there if we let him. Once he realizes he's going to daycare, he becomes more excited than a kid in a candy shop. The best thing about this place outside of price and convenience is that they literally let the dogs run around for 12 hours a day non stop. So when we bring our guy home, he's exhausted and sleeps like a baby. I have a feeling even once we move from here, we'll still be driving to bring him to this spot. I would never take him anywhere else!

It pains me to write this review because Lucky Dog did help us out in a bind, but there were several concerning events that ultimately led us to remove our dog and place him in another daycare. The first concerning thing to us was there are A LOT of dogs in one room there and there doesn't seem to be a lot of structure, so it's kind of like a rambunctious dog park without a ton of supervision. Also, rather than going and sternly correcting undesired behavior, they yell at the dogs a lot. He was a young, energetic puppy when he started going there, but he was always sweet and behaved very well with other dogs at the park. I knew there was nap time and the dogs were all kenneled for two hours a day, so we worked with him on being comfortable with a kennel at home and, although it was hairy at first, he became comfortable and kind of enjoyed crate time at home. However, I wasn't aware that they also would lock them in there for "time out" or to separate the dogs. There were several times when we'd go to pick him up and he'd be locked in a crate. Over time he became resistant to his crate at home and it would make him anxious and ill behaved. One time, they called and asked us to come and get him and he was, again, locked in a crate. When they got him out of the crate, my husband said he was bitten by several dogs as he walked past them on the way to the door. Yes, he wasn't a perfect puppy, but he's been to dog parks dozens of times and he's been to other daycares hundreds of times and he's never had any problems at all. Lucky Dog may be a good daycare for some dogs and I genuinely liked Bonnie. But if your dog needs structure, this isn't the place for them. I think there's a difference between having someone looking after your dog who loves dogs and someone who cares for dogs. It seems like a small thing, but it makes a big difference when it comes to managing dozens of dogs in one space.
