Lurie Garden is Millennium Park's 'secret garden' and a peaceful oasis in the heart of Chicago. It is a unique garden, open and beautiful every season, and offers over 70 free nature programs per year. The garden is planted in a naturalistic style and is home to birds, bees, butterflies, and other wildlife due to its ecologically-friendly practices. It offers pleasant walking paths, benches to relax on, and an atmosphere that changes beautifully with the seasons. The contrast between the vibrant colors and scents of the flowers and the city skyline is simply stunning. It is perfect for a quiet stroll, taking gorgeous photos, or just enjoying a break from the hustle and bustle. Visitors can enjoy its structural design and remarkable planting. It feels like walking through the loveliest field, with paths offering different views and access to hidden benches. While there is some helicopter noise, you can also hear crickets. There are no playgrounds or restrooms. It is a small gem and well worth a visit.
Although it was off the flowering season, I enjoyed beauty of park’s landscapes. Just after the closing a park, raccoons showed up in the way. Future potential conflicts.

Beautiful, accessible space. A nice respite amongst the busyness of other Chicago spaces.

It felt like walking through the loveliest field you've ever seen. When we visited the orchestra was practicing at the pavilion adding to the amazing ambiance. The paths offer lots of different views and access to hidden benches and seating. Well worth a walk.
