13 years ago I bought a fantastic home entertainment system & the installation team was excellent and professional. A year ago I came back to update a couple items add a Savant system and repair a few important things that have worn out over time. 16 months ago, I paid over $26,000, and I’m still not installed. It is absolutely not possible to get my project finished. They’ve been “working on it” the whole time & I’d say it’s still less than 60% complete. You can buy high end electronics here, but this is NOT a full service experience. I’ve never had to hire an attorney for a consumer purchase, but now I have to. Once the check clears, it’s on you. Buyer beware.

This makes No sense ! I spent $48,000 on a Stereo system at Magnolia. It took a few weeks to finally get small items like speaker wire. When the system was finally hooked up we found a blown speaker (B&W 803) and figured out the preamp was defective(Mkintosh). After 4 months of being strung along that they’ll pick up and exchange the equipment now they won’t return calls and tell me to communicate through email only. These guys are the worst !! They only care about getting commission. Do not shop here Ever ! Go to ABT for better prices and way more importantly service people that care and are accountable ! Best Buy corporate basically ignored me as well and now I have to take them to court over a Stereo !!! Pete Bruce Chicago

Very poor sales experience and unresponsive customer service communication from Magnolia team and store managers for a transactional deal. Would not recommend if you are looking for expertise, transparency and a consultative experience.

I don't understand how a salesperson can be so bad at their job. It's standard procedure really, you call Magnolia because you see they sent you an email with the wrong delivery address, you then give correct delivery address to magnolia employee to update, so that when the next morning comes around, the installer is there, with product in hand, to do their job. Instead, we call, gave correct address, installer calls to verify address and it ends up being the WRONG one. I don't understand how a single employee could screw up a basic instruction. I'm not asking you to crack the DaVinci code or dive into the Marianas Trench, lord. So then, installer is like "cool, let me get the right addrsss" when he calls and is told of the mishap. He then shows up 10 mins later, with no product in hand, talking about "they told me you had it". So let me get this straight, a company that charges well over a good bill to install purchased product is incapable of doing the bare minimum to ensure prompt and efficient service? They then get 3rd party schedulers to constantly call about re-scheduling and instructing us to break our plans (that we scheduled around for the installation in the first place) because of their f*ck up. That's not at all how it should've went, but it did, and we're still here, looking at our tv on the floor, unmounted and unused. Literally save yourself the headache and find a more, customer-service-oriented route, because this really ain't it. Also, f*ck you, Magnolia. :)

Terrible service, don't buy any of their warranties it's just a waste of money. They don't care about customer as soon as he lives he door. So disappointed I left thousands of dollars there...

Horrible! Over-priced, terrible customer service, not what you expect from a boutique store

The sales people in the design center are condescending; and furthermore use deceptive sales methods. I'm not your average AV consumer; I read technical publications and enjoy staying current. I have a highend room of components myself; the salesmen today was so focused on his fan boy crush on a certian brand he did not not the rest of the segment well enough to answer my queations. This for a design center is unacceptable!! I listened to hime sell products to another that were based on flatout wrong information. When you go in there buyer be ware!!! Do your own due diligence!

Just absolutely thrilled with the purchase of my new OLED65B6P-U. Dave and Eric were excellent in helping make a choice, and were patient with me as I had quite a time coming to a conclusion on which TV to purchase. I'll be doing more business in the future. The picture is nothing short of stunning.

The level of incompetence at this store is unreal. If you're thinking about using them, DO NOT! Use Chicago sound works or ABT instead. My first experience with these guys was a couple years ago, to install an outdoor TV and sonos system. It was like pulling teeth to get them to complete the job, in the end they recommended a $4,000 TV that stopped working within 6 months, and they charged me for items they never delivered/installed. Last week I decided to give them another chance while at Best Buy looking for an in wall iPad mount/power supply. I ordered 3 products, one was the wrong color, one was 400% over priced for what I actually needed, and the third did not meet the specs I had given. The salesman just plain didn't know what he was talking about, and misrepresented the product. Had to return all of them. Just save yourself $$$ and headache and don't go here.
