Stumbling through this part of the city in need of a quick lunch fix isn't always easy. Luckily this was across the park from our hotel and the Chicago rain didn't stop us.This may be the best grocery sushi we've had in all of our travels, only downside was the self-checkout kiosks were on the fritz that day.

The Arugala went yellow on 70% of the package 2 days before expiration. And exchanges must have the receipt.

Whoever Carol is that works here...she felt the need to point out that my Bearded Dragon, which never leaves my shoulder, is an unleashed pet and is not permitted. As someone who worked in retail...if they're gonna allow dogs on a leash, pets that are far more bothersome generally to products, then my bearded dragon is really the least of her worries. Carol should focus on doing her job. Given how expensive this Mariano's is, the only reason I really shop here is cause it's close by. You have better options.

Called and nicely asked a question— got the rudest response ever to the point where I didn’t want to proceed asking clarifying questions. Absolutely do not recommend this pharmacy.

The Marianos on Broadway in Chicago ALWAYS overcharges. ALWAYS. And then the service desk gives you a hard time. The people at the self checkout registers apparently don't have the authority to correct the incorrect prices, or coupons that don't work as they should. The thought of a Marianos/Jewel merger is unconscionable. Groceries are high enough without being overcharged!!

Hate this grocery store but when you're in chicago on foot you gotta take what you are given.

There are NEVER any baskets by the front door... I mean it's the front door, you know, where people enter when they first come in. You have to take the elevator up to the second floor, pick up a basket, take it back down to the first floor and then start your shopping experience. Additionally, I wish they would get rid of the metal ribs holding the plastic bags at self check out. Sometimes people bring in their own bags, which most people are now actually encourage to do. You run out of room almost every time and end up having to put food on the floor. These are simple things that make the biggest difference. *Bring back the oyster bar, there's already a wow bow down the street. You have to wonder who makes these decisions because they're not checking if such establishments already exist.

I got home late and picked up some sushi at Mariano's a couple of days ago. I've done this before but with better results. This was awful: dry, tasteless except for salt, chewy in all the wrong ways, the rice was hard, the fish on top was peaking off in a weird way with texture problems. This was the worst!@Mariano's please do better! You have in house quality fish. You are in a neighborhood of hard working professionals who need and are willing to pay for quality food. You can and have done so much better!

First time using a Mariano’s pharmacy. The man that helped me made my prescription as cheap as possible :)

I have visited this Mariano's multiple times over the past few years, and in general, it's been a good shopping experience. This Mariano's is two stories. The first floor has a multitude of cafeteria-style options, which have changed over time but generally include a sushi bar, burger stand, gelato, coffee, and much more. The first floor also has a bar and occasionally live music! The second floor has the regular grocery amenities - fresh produce, deli, dairy, snacks, etc. In addition, they also have a full fancy cheese section with a nice selection of cheeses. Overall, comparing to other grocery stores, I'd say this floor is average size for urban locations. In terms of the design of the check out, this could certainly be improved. There's not much room for lines, and in fact, if any line forms for any of the registers, the line goes into an aisle and can cause a traffic jam, especially during peak shopping hours.

First of all for everyone that remembers Dominick's food Stores. Marianos bought out many of the Dominick's. They have been a big upgrade from Dominick's & Jewel food stores. Marianos has been selling Stan's Donuts for awhile in 4 packs but they are a far cry in terms of the quality from the actual Stan's Donuts. This location has a small Stan's within the Marianos selling their donuts. Nice addition for you folks w/a sweet tooth.

Every time I called to refill a prescription myself, they said they'd set it up for autofill, which was never completed. I've refilled this prescription about five times and it never got updated.
