The store layout is ok, when I go to Deli together my things , and I have noticed lately that they have their work area dirty. Their counter where they prep. Is dirty with pieces of meats and hams they cut .the floor even worse , and if there is a line of customers it looks like if their tossing a quarter to see who goes to take care of the customers ,tgere is one specific girl that ia always on the go , BUT SHE CAN NOT DO 50 THINGS BY HERSELF IF THERE ARE OTHER EMPLOYEES THAT ARE THERE TO DO TGE SAME THING SHE DOES , LIJE IF SHES BUSY DOING SOMETHING ELSE AND THERE ARE CUSTOMERS ,EITHER THEY GO IN HIDDING OR THEY SAY IL BE RIGHT BACK TO TAKE CARE OF YOU ........NOOO . THEY DONT COME BACK AND THOSE HIDING IN THE BACK NEVER COME OUT ..ONLY THATONE SPECIAL PERSON HAS TO STOP DOING HER JOB TO COME AND SERVE THE CUSTOMERS THAT THE OTHERS LEFT WAITING TO TAKE CARE OF .

Went shopping for a few items. Prices are fair and affordable. Try their hot food bar. Their fried chicken breast is delicious.

Every decision Kroger makes with this store makes it worse, every single one

Closed 6 minutes early, couldn’t grab a quick bottle of wine. Security is slacking.

How is this a Mariano’s. Moved to the neighborhood a few months back and this place is so gross. Produce, staff, meat, layout is all soooo badddddThe neighborhood growth should have warranted a refresh years ago.

Living just three blocks away from Mariano's in Ukrainian Village, it has become my go-to grocery store, and I have no major complaints. Despite occasional busyness, I've always efficiently found what I need, and the majority of the staff recognizes me, creating a familiar and pleasant shopping experience. The store is well-stocked, even during peak hours, though there's the occasional item shortage, which is expected in a busy grocery store. I've learned the optimal times to shop to beat the crowds, ensuring a quick and enjoyable visit. As long as I'm in Ukrainian Village, Mariano's will remain my preferred choice for its convenience, friendly staff, and overall positive atmosphere. Highly recommended for those in the area.

Just ridiculous. There should be three things a grocery store should be able to provide at all times. Adequately stocked items, enough carts for customers and reasonable check-out lanes. This Mariano's fails at the last two, time and time again. I write this as I stand in line for self-checkout, not all of which are working, with the lines stretching all the way down the frozen food aisle for every checkout. At the very least, open the manned registers to relieve the line length. Oh, and I had to wait 20 minutes just to get a cart.

This is my least favorite Mariano's location. The other locations are larger and cleaner. Good selection of cheeses and baked goods, otherwise no better than other grocery stores. I came down on elevator 2 which really stunk today. Also found bad smells by the "fresh" fish area. Isles are crowded.

Bought a pack of cheese from here a week ago. When I opened it I noticed it was moldy and falling apart. Then I realized it expired a year and a half ago. Disgusting

This Mariano's is extremely dirty. Aside from 2 shootings occurring recently in the parking lot, the stairway down to the store from parking is disgusting. It doesn't look like it's been cleaned in years. Selection is limited and produce often goes bad within a day or two of bringing it home. We decided to try to shop there again this past Sunday, and despite long lines of customers waiting to check out, only ONE check out lane was staffed forcing everyone to use the self check out. The self check out kiosks at Mariano's are terrible. Once you scan an item, if you attempt to bag it in a reusable bag, the screen flashes a message "return scanned item to bagging area" and won't let you scan the next item. It is ridiculous. You have to let several items literally pile up on the bagging area before you can attempt to put a scanned item into your reusable bag. We tried giving this location another try this past Sunday, but we won't be back. I suggest others look elsewhere for groceries. Terrible place, I'd give 0 stars if that was an option.

$3.50 worth of pasta salad for $5.99 !!Now I’ve seen everything. Deli staff weighed the container and calculated the cost for me. Shame on Mariano’s! City of Chicago should require these pre-priced containers be weighed and charged by the pound — the same as if gotten from a deli staffer.

Gross and disgusting. Please be careful and check expiration dates if you shop here. There was a tub of butter that expired.. wait for it..July of 2022!! Last year. How is that even possible? Sadly, this isn't the first time, I also had an old bag of lettuce. I tried to alert a manager, but was kept on hold for 10 minutes and no one ever picked up. I'm so done with this store. Who has time to check dates on every single perishable item? You should be able to shop with confidence that spoiled food is not on the shelves. Especially with their high prices
