Believe all the reviews, Amado is amazing! This was my first visit to a Massage Envy and I was very pleased. I've gotten massages from so many places throughout the city and in other states/countries/etc. Amado was by far one of the best massage therapists I've ever had. I would highly recommend his services. The rest of the staff was very nice, welcoming, and attentive too. All around a great experience!

It's a commercialized massage service that does not get all your body muscles. More like rubbing your back instead of massaging your muscles. They use lotion instead of scented oil for massage however they're clean and tidy.The drawback in their services are for every transaction, credit transfer, or canceling service you have to put forth $$ or lose $$.

I was scammed out of $79.50. I booked an appointment and recieved a call asking if I could come in 2 hours earlier (presumably so the massage therapist could end their night early). I was not able to come in early, as I was just landing in Chicago from NC and would not be able to get to their location at the earlier time. I drove to the location in time for my original appointment at 8pm. After 15minutes of looking for parking, at 7:55pm I called the store to let them know I was there but driving from block to block looking for parking (this location only has street parking). At 8:02pm I still had not found parking and called back to update them of my tardiness. It was suggested that I could reschedule for the next day. I was happy to reschedule for the next day, I was prepared to Uber to the appointment to avoid parking issues. The next day I received a call to confirm my appointment and to confirm if I knew this would be paid for out of pocket as my massage credit was used the previous day. I let the receptionist know that I was NOT aware that I had been charged and that this session would be paid for out of pocket, the receptionist said they thought that may have been the case and that’s why they called to confirm and apologized for the miscommunication (this receptionist was very polite and helpful). They assured me that the person I spoke to the day before did not document this correctly and said they left a message for their manager to call me back as that is who would have to handle this scenario. I never received a call back, I called on multiple occasions and the manager was never available. I was finally given an email address, I received a response from the manager who flat out lied and said that they were there when I spoke with the first receptionist and said they heard them say I would be charged a cancellation fee. This is simply untrue, this was never communicated to me. Note to corporate- some locations record calls, please feel free to review the recorded line to confirm this. After calling the store back and finally speaking with the manager, they said they could put me in touch with their regional manager. It’s been over a week and I’ve still not heard anything from their store manager, CJ, with updates, nor have I heard from their regional manager. This review is to warn future customers of what to expect when working with this location and hopefully to warrant a response from the Massage Envy team.
