Robert Gil Jr was the best salesman to work with! Even a year after buying my car, he still is quick to respond to me and help facilitate anything I need to make sure my car is running and functioning properly. Highly recommend you work with him if you are in the market for a new vehicle! You won't regret it!

This is by far the worst car dealership I've ever been to...period. I would have given it a zero if this ap would register it as such. I would never buy a car again from McGrath City Hyundai nor any of the other McGrath dealers because I don't trust them as far as I can throw them. Trying to make a very very long story short...we bought a used Hyundai from them. Shady sales people and practices pressured us to take the car that night even with a screw in the tire and it smelling like wet dog inside (they promised they would fix but the service department was closed for the day) and wouldn't give us our trade in car keys back so we basically were held captive until we purchased the car that we only wanted to think about buying. Added on $3000 for a bogus "McGrath extended warranty" which is only for 3 months (it doesn't exist at any other Hyundai dealer) to the top line of the sale. So the car really cost $3000 more than it was listed for. No actual paperwork to sign just an IPad that they hand you to "sign"and a flash drive is your paperwork. Car of course had a flat tire within days and then Major engine issues 3 months and 6 days after purchasing it and they said that $3000 warranty had just expired and it wasn't covered but they wanted to look at the car there to see if it would be "possible" to cover the repairs cheaper. Kept the car without giving us a loaner for 15 days and acted like they did us a big favor to repair the car for $1500. Service department was a joke. No one knew what was going on, couldn't get ahold of anyone. We kept getting calls on vehicles that weren't even ours. They changed the cost of repairs 4 different times from $2100 to $1300 to $5000 back down to $1300. You can never get a live person to talk to on the phone EVER. Not the sales people, not the managers, not the service department...No matter who you are calling. The general manager was "new" and basically a ghost and never there if you showed up and wanted to speak with him.... I could go on but you get the picture. Shady shady place and people. You might have better luck buying a new car there but beware of all the $$$$ things they will add on without your knowledge and don't ever use them for the service department. Take it to another Hyundai dealer.

My salesman Danny was very nice polite and patient at all times. Understood what I wanted to purchase and showed me different trucks and pricing I was looking for. The mechanic Juice was just as great and kept me up to date on working with my truck at all time. I will always go them cause they knew what I want done and time frame I needed to be out. 5 stars on both.

Was recently in the market for a new car after my car was totaled in an accident. Went to a few different dealerships in the Chicagoland area and didn’t find what I was looking for or the dealers I was working with were of no help. I went in McGrath Hyundai and had the best car buying experience up to date. Robert Gil went above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied with my purchase. He made the process very smooth and comfortable. He definitely changed my view on the car buying process. Would highly recommend and will be making all my future auto purchases from Mr. Gil!!

The Best Car Purchasing Ever!!!Michael Vaughn made my purchasing 2022 Hyundai Tucson experience one to remember and highly recommend. He was very knowledgeable and his insight made me confident that I was making an informed decision for the purchase of my newest truck. I normally hate dealing with car salesmen due to the pressure they can put on you, but this was a different experience and I'm thankful for that. Most definitely recommend!!!

First off I have to start off by saying the sales person I worked with, Robert Gil, provided exceptional customer service. I went to McGrath Hyundai on 3 separate occasions and Robert Gil made sure I did not rush into a purchase I was going to regret. Purchasing a car is a big decision, and Robert Gil understood this. He was not aggressive or pushy at all. He guided me to a great purchase that satisfies all my needs. If you are in the market for a car, definitely give Robert Gil a visit. He will take care of you and your car buying needs.

Michael Vaughn is a real natural people-person. I felt knowledgeable after speaking with him and secure enough to ask even the smallest question about details. Just wanted to say when I went to purchase my car I wasn't sure which one to get I came across salesman Robert Gil he was very knowledgeable and showed me different cars and explained in details, so if it wasn't for Robert I probably would have not purchased the car, thank you Robert for advise and recommendations

If I could rate a negative star for the service department I would. My 2022 Kona's radio and charging pad stopped working in July. I waited weeks to get in for an appointment in Sept. At first was told that everything worked, but that "I should remember to keep the doors closed." When I asked for them to double check that "everything worked" it didn't, so new USB part was ordered in order to install a system update. First USB part came in wasn't right part, waited, second USB came in, update installed, and radio still doesn't work, now that has to be replaced, but part will take 2-3 more weeks. Each time waiting for the right technician to be available to work on the electronics. Once he wasn't there that day...another wasted trip. Each time, back and forth to the dealer, waiting to get checked in, waiting to get checked out. Today they checked me out with the wrong car, subsequently taking 20 minutes to find my car. And I still have to bring it back for the radio. 0% confidence that the replacement radio will actually be the right part and work once installed, hopefully on a day that the electronics technician is available.PHOTO: THIS IS NOT MY CAR!

Buyer beware of deceptive practices. They advertise a price online and then show up the the bargaining table with a price that includes the McGrath Advantage. Clearly it’s a profit center and cash grab. They will probably comment here and say that it’s for unspecified inspections to ensure the car is safe etc. However I’m shopping at a dealership assuming they have already done all of this and they are to be trusted.The sales perks on also showed 2 different prices for the vehicle when I asked for the other sheet I had 3 minutes signed earlier they told me it had been shredded.Straight up liars. I’m all for paying fair value for a car but the bait in switch tactic they used is awful. I hope the owner and dealer principal revise how they are conducting business. You’re on the boarder of fraud. If I had a picture of the initial offer I’d be sending you to the Better Business Bureau.2 stars since they made the browsing process easy. The negotiation was shady and dishonest.

AVOID this place. Worst vehicle service experience in my life. In summary, it took 10 DAYS for them to do an oil change and repair the power steering, with the worst communication, and most incompetent service representative I've ever seen. There are some major process breakdowns, lack of management oversight, and a complete inability to care for the customer. 1) Poor communication. Completely failed to keep my updated on status, progress, and timing. It was near silence from the service rep, and I had to initiate dialogue and ask questions, which required me to deal with their awful phone service. Very frustrating2) Poor / Unprofessional handling on the phones. Put on hold for long periods of time. Hung up on me, Curt / rude treatment.3) Under trained service reps. Lack understanding of vehicle servicing. Failed to follow through and drive the service process through to completion. Causing extended delays by several days. I dropped off the vehicle at 7am and because of a process breakdown, they didn't start working on my car till 4:30pm.4) Low Integrity. Attempted to lie about the services performed, and embarrassingly had to back track after they lie was called out. Claimed they inspected the power steering by going for a drive and said there was no issue. They realized they screwed up and were trying to rush me off asap, instead of doing the job right the first time.

I came in late Saturday. And Eliamar and Samir were more than happy to take care of me. They stayed after hours to make sure I received the best service. They went above and beyond for my wife and I. A wonderful test drive and lots of questions answered. We left with a new car and a smile on our face. They were very helpful, one of the greatest experiences at a dealership. We will definitely be back for future car purchases. And Will definitely be recommending friends and family.
