This dealership is a relic of 1980s disrespect for the customer, hard-sell tactics, and overpriced service, not to mention borderline dishonesty. I never give bad reviews because I don't like them for my business when I can't respond, but in this case, it's necessary for the dealer and readers.After one bad experience after another (descriptions of shenanigans too numerous to list here), I received an e-mail from "Olivia James." I thought it would be worth responding to her and letting her receive some constructive feedback to move up the chain of command.The response I got was SO instant that I realized it was probably a chatbot, automated AI, non-person soliciting business. I called and asked for Olivia James. The sales department said they don't know her and she must be in service. "I'll transfer you."Beep. Beep. Tone. Boink. Dial tone...I called back and got service. The person said, "Um...I've been her 15 years and have never heard of Olivia James." HA! Probably because she doesn't exist.I bought a few cars from one man at the dealership named Gary Sowell. I'm so happy for him that he retired, but I'll never do business with McGrath again. It's nothing more than, as mentioned earlier, a relic of old-school hard-sell manipulation.

Was in last December. Service representative, Tony, quoted 90 minutes for general service and diagnostics. I asked if it would be longer please come find me in the lounge. At 120 minutes I went to the desk to ask for my service representative and he left for the day. Paperwork was never given to someone else and took 10 minutes to find it. There was never an update on my car diagnostics and was only charged for an oil change. My service light was never turned off and my tire pressure light was flashing afterward. Maria, a customer service representative left me a voicemail days later. I called her back and left a voicemail for her but was never called back after. This is not the first time this location has not been responsive and reliable. Duration of service is generally longer than quoted and this was not the first time I have had to ask if my car was ready. I have been to other locations and have had much better service.

Not the quality of service you'd expect for the brand. Maybe another location is better. The technicians seem very uncaring to the issues with your vehicle, if pre-owned. I have a 10 year warranty and payments are on time. This is the second time I've returned for the same issues, since my purchase in May of 2023. The sale went well and well aware it was used, but I trusted this model and location thinking that I would be treated with excellent customer service, and integrity with sales. Somewhat disappointed with how things are going. If you have to return after they've had your vehicle for a week and a half, then that's a red flag, even with a loaner. Upon pick up, car wash was shabby. Tires and rims were still dirty and both clocks were not reset. Asked for tech and was told it was a solar system and would reset shortly. That never happened! As for the wash, I was told it was just a drive-through. Car is knocking when braking, and some noise underneath. Lexus are great cars, but it seems they don't respect the brand or respect certain customers.

I do not recommend this place to buy a used car. I bought a car over 3 weeks ago and gave the old one for trade in. So far, the car has not been paid off and almost four weeks have passed. When I call and ask what's going on, no one knows anything. everyone is nice and helpful until you buy a car and when it's all over, they don't give a damn about you!!!

Work completed on side mirror, moonroof, and brake noise. Andy and team was great. The overall service and communication experience. They quoted me upfront the potential cost and final price did not exceed (actual was cheaper). Learned my lesson to just take my car here first instead of local mechanic. Thanks.

The worst experience for 2 time.I am a girl and don’t really know much about cars. I needed to change the hybrid battery. Also My car showed that the engine was overheated. I was so afraid that right away I took it to this location.They charged me 128$ for inspection and told me that I need to change the hybrids. Which I knew already, because it was showing on the panel. I asked about the OVERHEATING and they said it’s because of the battery. And the hybrid battery would cost me around 9000$.Long story sort. I took it to a car shop and the guy said that I had a hole in there and it was leaking. THEY FIXED IT FOR 100$.Lexus didn’t even check and didn’t tell me. What a shame…

Avoid this service location at all costs! Called to make a reservation for an oil change and the rep doesn't know if the service is included and has no idea how much I will be charged. She then promised that a service advisor would call me before my appointment and that didn't happen at all. Once I get to the service location, the advisor and the manager tell me two completely different things. Obviously they can't even make a simple service reservation properly and communicate the cost for services. How can I possibly trust them with my car if they can't communicate, be honest and agree among the staff working there on the truth. I will never be returning there again and have to consider this when purchasing another vehicle. My wife's Chevy dealership is 100% better! What a complete waste of time. Not professional at all and no one even apologized for their mistake.

Literally no one better to work with than Andy Pak, one of the nicest people and always makes sure my car and I are taken care of without upselling or adding unnecessary services. He treats my car like it’s his own, and I always know I’m in good hands- I even drive in from the suburbs now just to work with him whenever my car needs attention. 10/10, Andy Pak is the man to work with.Services: Electrical repair

The best auto service you can find anywhere,You get a loaner to drive home they let you know in advance what the cost of those repairs or service will be and they notify you immediately when your card is ready for you to pick it upI don't know of any other dealership of any brand who gives customers better service than McGrath Lexus

Terrible customer service.Dropped off car in the morning, took them all day to do routine maintenance, they let me know car is ready an hour before they close, no one picks up the phone, decide to call myself an Uber there, get there 6min after they close, they refuse to help and leave me to sit outside in the heavy rain to wait for an Uber back that I had to call myself.

Always a GREAT 10/10 STAR service. I have been a Lexus owner since 2011 in California and Chicago but no location beats McGrath Chicago. I worked with a new service advisor, Justin, this time and was not disappointed! Check in was smooth, he addressed all my concerns beyond what I was there for (maintenance). He did not try to sell me things I did not need but was up front and honest about what needed to be replaced, the timeframe and the cost.It was a busy morning for me and he picked up on that right away. He made sure to check in with me twice throughout the apportionment. When it was time to checkout, he saw that I was in a middle of a task (WFH) and told me to take my time to check out which I truly appreciated! When I moved back to Chicago, I started off with Robert Z who is also amazing and he pulled up the records for my ES350 at the Lexus in California, took time to review it and welcomed us back to Chicago. When I came back with a new vehicle, he would always remember us and answered any questions we had about my new SUV and all the warranties, maintenance etc. that was covered. A few times, we worked with with Andy who was also great! So whichever service advisor you get, you won’t be disappointed. It is clear that everyone there cares about you, your time and your vehicle more than one would expect.You won’t find a better Lexus family anywhere else!

Very friendly, professional and hard workers. The service is fast and excellent final product. We found an issue that was overlooked, and they apologized and fixed it right away. And they are knowledgable and upfront with estimates and costs, much better than the sales people.
