Nice theater, small and well managed. Went to watch young Frankenstein with our 15 year old which was a mistake. The musical should be 18-+ because of some content. If our daughter didn't tag along my husband and I would have enjoyed watching it to the end . We left in the interval because we didn't want our daughter feeling uncomfortable. So many wasted $$$

We have come and seen several productions at the mercury theater that were really excellent. The theater is small and so almost every seat is a great view. There is a small stage and bar area at the front that is used for some productions. I would highly recommend any production here. Set design, costumes, sound, direction, and talent have all been top notch and we have had some great experiences!! Do not miss out on an opportunity to check out this theater.

I have seen several shows at the Mercury Theater and this review is about Young Frankenstein The Musical. First though, let me say that the theater itself is wonderful. There is not a bad seat in the house, ordering tickets on their website is easy, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Now to the play. Every production I have seen at the Mercury has been pretty good to very good, but Young Frankenstein The Musical was amazing. The sets were clever and impressive. Each actor completely embodied their character and had great comedic timing, and the singing...the singing was incredible. From the very first number ("Brains") the singing was impressive, and it kept getting better. Every cast member had a remarkable voice, and they knew what to do with them.If you only see one play this year, this should be the one.

Great venue for musicals! The sound is excellent, they always have interesting merch and themed cocktails in the attached Venus bar, and the productions they put on are absolutely fabulous. I cannot possibly recommend them enough.

We were in Chicago for a 3 day mini vacay. Saw Young Frankenstein on the last night there. Loved the theater! The production was first rate. It was a great experience for a well priced evening. Would definitely go again if the opportunity comes up.

This former silent movie house has morphed into a wonderful small-stage venue • It's one of our favorite theatres in the entire city for both the facility as well as the consistently high-quality programs.

I enjoyed a matinee of Young Frankenstein at the Mercury Theater. It's a pretty intimate theater, a great venue to see a show. Nice facilities and friendly staff. The show was awesome.

Even though the tickets are expensive, it was easily the best show I have seen in at least the last four years!

Wowwwwwwww! " The Way It Is Now" What a very very very nice show Dionne Lea. You are so talented and I can't wait to see you again here in Chicago at the Venus Cabaret Theater. You drew me in as soon as you started your show. I am now a huge fan and will continue to support you!

Terrific productions, plenty of leg room, all in a perfect-sized theater; not too big, not too small.
