Metro is one of the best venues in Chicago, a great small-mid sized venue located by Wrigley Field with an ornate interior. It is the best place in the city to see a show bar-none, with an intimate feel where everyone is very close to the stage. There is a nice balcony railing to view from along with the main floor. The layout is good, though some areas are off to the side. It is extremely easy to get to by transit and well incorporated into the surrounding area, though parking sucks. It hosts wonderful shows from pop to electronic to metal, and it is a fun place to enjoy gigs and dance talent. The music is never too loud. Security is smooth and queues move quickly, though it is a little tight space. The bar is cash only with an ATM that has a service charge. Drinks are a bit pricey but potent. There is often an after party with a DJ playing good throwback and trendy pop hits. The venue has fine service and sweet bartenders, creating countless wonderful memories and keeping Chicago on the musical map.
