Walgreens on Michigan Ave sent me there. It was a few years ago and I just remembered I liked the professionalism and I am happy to have found this place again. I couldn’t remember where it was. This was in the early days of urgent care facilities.

Made a 12 pm appointment, was seen at 2:45 pm - I was literally the only patient there for the last hour I waited, with about 5 staff telling me they were short staffed in between conversations, breaks, etc. medically they are solid and they seem like decent providers but sitting in a waiting room, sick, getting sicker, watching the staff laugh and talk for 2.5 hours was too much.

I am from northwest Indiana & my husband & I are here on mag mile for our honeymoon after just getting married on Sunday. By Monday, I was sick as a dog and felt like I had every sickness combined. As a new patient, check-in was quick & easy & the front desk was very nice. The wait was not long, seeing as I was a walk-in patient. They had masks and hand sanitizer available, which I took advantage of in case I was contagious. When called back into the exam lanes, the person who worked me up for the doctor (as sick as I was, I don’t recall her name or title) was so friendly & personable. I felt cared for. Back home, some immediate care providers & staff treat you like livestock & are in & out so fast you have no idea what happened. Here, that is not the case. From the beginning, I felt safe & helped. They ran thorough tests & spoke in a manner understood by patients who may not understand medical terminology. When the doctor came in, her demeanor & body language were excellent. I could tell immediately that she was intelligent & genuinely cared about me as the patient. She did her exam of me, checked out all the areas where I was symptomatic, & went over all the test results to determine I likely had a virus and was dehydrated. She then explained how we would tackle all my symptoms to get me back to feeling better. They administered medication in the office, gave me water & monitored me for some time to ensure I was okay before leaving. She prescribed a couple of things & recommended honey (because of its soothing/anti-inflammatory properties) for my sore throat (which I loved because some doctors want to overload you with prescriptions & side effects, whereas here they offered a homeopathic option for one of my symptoms). I was given my post-visit notes & everyone offered congratulations on our recent marriage. The doctor's assistant also took her time in helping us find a nearby pharmacy since we are not from this area. This entire interaction, from the moment I arrived to the moment I left, was phenomenal. I work in the medical field & seeing how this office/staff functioned together was incredible. If we ever need immediate care in downtown Chicago, this is where we will always go.

Came here to try to find a primary physician. Scheduled an appointment with Dr. Michael Kupkowski. Never did get to meet with him; was met by a PA instead. Aside from some basic blood tests, they advised me that the physical issues I was experiencing were because I needed to "lose 10 lbs and see a therapist" and refused to delve any further. The icing on the cake came months later when I got a notice in the mail informing me that my records at the clinic had been compromised. I won't be back.

Perhaps they should rename themselves Michigan Avenue Anything But Immediate Care. I had a 10am appointment and after waiting an hour, I was told the wait would be at least one more hour. Apparently an appointment is simply a "placeholder," whatever that means. I will not be returning. They used to be a very reliable provider. No longer.

I will not be back here. I should’ve paid attention to the most recent reviews before coming, lesson learned. I had an appointment for 12:30 so I could go over my lunch hour and I did not get seen until 2 hours later. I understand they may be short staffed, but spending 2+ hours is a lot of time to waste when you work. They also didn’t bother to tell anyone how long of a wait it would be, so not sure what the point of booking an appointment was. I went in to get tested for strep/flu/covid and all were negative. Their only solution was to prescribe me a lidocaine gel, which was useless as that is not something that can be gargled to help sore throats. It is more useful for a mouth sore. They also charge an excessive amount for the office visit even though you’re not there for a primary care doctor. If you don’t have top tier insurance that covers at 100% without meeting a deductible, expect to pay a lot for your visit too. The only positive was that the medical staff were nice.

I used to go here all the time here and loved them but they are not what they used to be. First the waiting area is so run down and dingy now. It used to be so nice and a pleasant place to be. They even had snacks at one point. Now it has emergency waiting room vibes. I scheduled an appointment today at 12:15. I got there at 12. At 1:30 there was still no timetable of when I was going to be seen and I had somewhere else I needed to be at 2. So I left without being treated even though I had already paid my copay. They said only one doctor was working which was causing the backup. If that’s the case then they shouldn’t take appointments anymore. I think they are really understaffed and can’t provide the quality of care to the patients that they once did. There are many other urgent care places in the city where you definitely don’t have to wait over an hour and a half to be seen. Until Michigan Immediate Care sorts out their issues I wouldn’t recommend coming here. I won’t be back.

This place used to be great. Their daily Personal Care providers, the immediate care physicians, they were all wonderful. People have been leaving this place right and left, and it seems to me that they are being replaced with Physician's assistants and nurse practitioners, and other sort of assistants who are just out of school and don't really know anything. I asked to speak with a doctor and was denied. It's difficult to establish a relationship with any of them, and I have moved to a different medical practice for these reasons.

Scheduled an appointment for 2. Took time out of my busy schedule. Arrive 10 minutes early as instructed, and they tell me I won’t be seen until at least 2:30. Don’t waste your time with these folks.

I spent an hour and 20 min waiting to be called back for my appointment. Then spent 50 min waiting in a patient care room. I had to pop my head out and get someone’s attention. I took the day off work because I am sick, so spending over 2 hours at urgent care was horrible. This is what discourages me from seeking treatment. So frustrating.

Worst clinic in Chicago. They overcharge without notifying patients and they ignore patients’ calls for months. I’m ready to pursue legal action.
