Owner was outside smoking a cigarette with her pitt bull off leash. I was planning on going into the store to have them fix a pair of jeans their tailor improperly hemmed. Unfortunately I never made it inside because her off leash pitt bull attacked my dog with no provocation.
While waiting down the street for the police, the owner then repeated came outside to yell and curse at me. I guess I'm a "Karen" and a "weirdo" for holding her accountable for her actions.
Wish I could rate them less than 1 star. Their shop dog is dangerous and should be on a leash. Their customer service is terrible.

My husband and I were “wowed “ by the selection of Japanese jeans in stock at Mildblend Supply. Luke, the owner, was kind enough to listen to my husband’s needs and select a few pairs to try on. The very first pair of jeans were perfect and Luke was able to hem them immediately while we waited.
We definitely will be back for another pair in a different color. Lovely experience.

I love this store, insanely friendly and sweet hard working staff. Helped me find everything that I wanted and such a nice, refreshing atmosphere. The beautiful Raisin (I think that’s how you spell it.?) helped me and my buddy out the entire time, and was super friendly and helpful, 10/10. I bought Birkenstock bostons, realized they didn’t fit after walking out the store a little ways, and they helped me do an exchange and were super chill about it. If you’re looking to be the sexiest guy at the function, hit up mildblend. Not sure of the name of the other workers there, but all staff was super helpful and even used our first names. Amazing retail experience.

Truly outstanding experience at this store. Luke and his wonderful daughter Tulip provided exceptional service. Luke's expertise and patience answering my questions helped me find the perfect pair of jeans. Tulip's attentiveness added a delightful touch to the entire shopping experience, and it was heartwarming to see Luke give my son a toy while I was browsing. I couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase of Momotaro jeans, expertly chain-stitch hemmed before I even left the store. A+ service all around, definitely deserving of 5 stars!"

I absolutely LOVE this place. It is my go to for selvage denim or any American heritage piece. I have had only wonderful experiences with any of the staff who are so knowledgeable and helpful. I’ve stopped in plenty of times to just look around and see what’s new, talk shop, and lust over the next piece I want in my wardrobe. Can’t recommend enough.

I’ve never written a bad review for a place before, but I just can’t get over the lazy service at this place. They sell premium pieces and you’d expect at least pleasant customer service, but they seem like they hate their job. I’m not kidding when I say their energy sucks the joy of out this place and really made my time in the store not enjoyable at all. The tall guy with the long black hair doesn’t look you in the face, has zero emotion, and makes you feel like you’re wasting his time when you ask for help.The first time I came in the store was for hemming on my very first pair of selvedge denim. I could’ve sworn he rolled his eyes when I came and said that’s why I’m here. Idk if it was because he wasn’t selling something but instead fulfilling a service they offer but he seemed miserable the whole time. I actually didn’t want to come back again after that.The second time was only because their website showed a jean that I’m really interested in and wanted to try on in person. I asked an older gentlemen I was here for this one jean and he immediately said “oh we don’t carry that”. I had to show him on his website that it was advertised as in stock in their store. He had no idea why it was on the site. Ok fine. He walked off and didn’t ask me a single question. Not like is there anything else I’m interested in, try to offer any other recommendations, etc. Ya know basic customer service. Btw the jean is still on their site as I write this.I like a higher rise wider cut of jean and they don’t appear to carry any of those cuts. Some of the brands they sell make those cuts but I guess they don’t either have them or sell them. The store and its associates felt like the 2012 raw denim era. Everything is slim tapered and skinny. The associates give off that “I’m better than you” energy as well. I love many of the products they sell but I’ll never give this store my money again.

So expensive, but so great.I take my dude to Mildblend and pick out things for him like a gorgeous Pure Blue Japan shirt of the deepest indigo with a stunning crosshatched texture and a yummy black 3Sixteen cotton jacket that feels like wearing a tailored blanket. I love shopping here and I'm a woman!

Seriously one of the best spots for menswear in Chicago. A very helpful staff with quality garments that will last a lifetime. Mildblend has a great selection of lesser-known and more popular brands and offers denim at different price points, whether it is your first or 10th pair of selvedge jeans. This is not the spot for 'flashy' labels and hype beast nonsense: it is a destination for well-crafted clothes.
