I've been to this Minute Clinic a few times for different reasons and could not be happier. I never wait more than 5 minutes for my appointment and it's easy to book/check in. But more importantly, the provider, Dr. Yau, could not be nicer, more understanding or more helpful. I always leave with a prescription (if needed) and useful tips to help me get better quickly! I highly recommend coming here.

Dr.Yao is a dedicated professional that helped me heal soon when I was sick with COVID last December, and recently with a sinus infection.

I waited 2 hours for my visit to come. During the waiting time i asked Ernest where is the toilet, and the answer was that there is no toilet in the branch. I canceled the Appointment and was going look after my toilets.. Shame.

You need to schedule an appointment. The nurse and practitioner were both amazing. They were fast, friendly, and helpful! Answered all my questions with kindness.

The nurse practitioner, Matthew Yau, working Sun 10/30/22 was the rudest, most unhelpful medical professional I’ve ever encountered in my entire life. Literally hides in his office with the door closed, then acts surprised that a patient doesn’t know to log into a kiosk that is completely dark and appeared to be off. Additionally, he told me that he wasn’t sure the Typhoid vaccine is in stock. Is he not aware that patients can check if the clinic has the vaccine in stock when they schedule? Lastly, he told me the vaccine was not covered by insurance and $150. That was the most absurd and incompetent part of it all. I ended up going to Walgreens and it was covered by insurance. Cost me $0. This man should not be in the medical profession.

Estimated times off by 30-45 min and highly restrictive on what they can actually treat for. If you know what you have, go to a full service urgent care. Resident was nice but had no leverage to provide adequate services for a simple issue

Poor customer service and long delays. The providers are unprofessional and lack medical knowledge. I would highly advise against this location for medical care.

Slow service. Their time estimates are way off. I was told 15 minutes wait. It took them more than 80 mins. Then right before my turn, the nurse practitioner decided to make a personal phone call that took another 10 mins. Service wasn't that great either.

Fantastic experience. I came in just after closing time, and Deanne Vanderpoel not only saw me (after hours) but also took the time to research, listen, and offer patient & sage counsel on a prescription nasal spray (that I needed). Anyone else would have told me to come back tomorrow A.M. Want to recommend Dr. Vanderpoel to anyone looking for a minute clinic in River North.

Avoid. The NP refused to prescribe me antibiotics because I had not suffered for 10 days, although my wife and son are who clearly gave me the URI and they both required antibiotics to get better. She kept saying that "CVS guidelines" were very strict and prevented her from giving the antibiotics until after 7-10 days with the illness. When I called CVS to complain that their guidelines did not account for sick members of the same household, I was told that it was completely within the NP's discretion. So she lied. To my face. Repeatedly. I've had good experiences with other Minute Clinics, but I would avoid this one.
