I am beyond grateful for the mechanic who helped me in Chicago when my alternator died. I was traveling for work with my two pets, stranded in nearly 100° heat late at night, and completely stuck. He showed up around 11 p.m., and not only did he change out my alternator on the spot, but he did it with such kindness, patience, and professionalism.
He could have left me waiting until the next day or made the situation harder, but instead he went out of his way to help me right then and there. His price was more than fair, but what stood out most was how considerate and helpful he was during such a stressful time.
I can’t thank him enough — he turned what could have been a nightmare into a relief. If you ever need a trustworthy and compassionate mechanic in Chicago, this is the person to call.

Very prompt with clear communication. Good quality work no issues. Haven’t had to call back or have anything additional done it’s fixed right the first time. Gary is the dude to call. Happy to pay if the work is good!!

So I have a bunch of responsibilities with my vehicle including kids and elderly that I take care of and I googled & called many places and Gary answer the call and he said he can come the next day, he worked with me and he had an opening for 7:00 that evening so on the same day he came out and put that alternator on in the freezing snow in a little over 30 minutes! The hard part was getting the part off! I almost missed him putting it back on that's how fast it went! I gave him his new name Superman 🦸🏽♂️🏆 and he's very reasonable as well. I have him starred on my contacts 👍🏽👍🏽

My daughter's car battery died in the parking lot of her dorm in Chicago. The dealer wanted her to tow it in, but that wasn't an option. I found Gary via google search and after reading the reviews decided to reach out to him. He was very flexible with scheduling and the cost was reasonable. He showed up on time and got the battery replaced quickly. Not being from the area, it was a relief to find a mechanic that was easy to work with and honest especially when I couldn't be there to help my daughter. Will definitely call him again if any repair needs come up.

It's really hard to find mechanics sometimes that respect women so it's always a gamble if I'm working on something myself if I can find somebody who will help me out when I need it. Gary was really helpful! I had gotten 90% of the way through a door latch problem but I got stuck and I didn't know what to do next. He had very good suggestions. He showed me what to try next and was willing to do the research to figure out the next steps if I needed him to take on the job himself. 5 Star human being!!

I don't want to leave a bad review, but it's frustrating to not hear back after contacting them multiple times. I followed instructions to have an appointment set up, sent photos, confirmed the quoted price, and heard nothing back after follow-up text messages. Just say you are busy instead of ignoring people.

We were on our way home from Northern Illinois to New Paris, Ohio and broke down in Wheeling, Illinois and were at a loss on what to do because we didn't have the proper tools to fix the serpentine belt on my car and had been stuck for 4 hours. After multiple failed attempts to get a roadside mechanic, we called Mobile Mechanic Auto Services and he said give him 40 minutes and he'd be there. 35 minutes later he showed up and helped us get back on the road in no time. We would have been stranded 7 hours from home if it wasn't for this guy. Me and my boyfriend highly recommend him if you get into a situation with your vehicle and need assistance with getting mobile. Nice as can be and knows his stuff. Thank you so much again, you truly saved us.
