Bought a coat from here 2 years ago and it ripped just from normal wear, not because I ripped it on anything. They charge $150 to repair it, when the coat was $3k and shouldn’t rip to begin with. The zipper also broke earlier this year. I’ve had several other items with quality defects, and this coat was actually a replacement for another one that ripped in the same spot within a month of purchase.I’d recommend getting a Canada goose or another brand that is higher quality or has a warranty.

Buyers beware! All the one star reviews posted are very real. Do not disregard! This issue involves the Oak Street location in Chicago. When they say no returns or exchanges they mean it!!My problem is simple, I made a significant purchase in September 22, and the zipper on the winter coat I purchased does not work properly plus there is extra fabric adjacent to the zipper that annoyingly keeps getting caught in the zipper. I've politely gone back several times to address the issue. Their solution over and over again is I need to keep applying wax or soap to the zipper. As winter approached, and I started to use the coat more and struggled to operate the zipper I became increasingly frustrated so I made another visit to the Moncler store. There happened to be an event going on that day and many of the Moncler corporate big wigs were attending. They passed me off to 3 different sales associates after they realized I was there for an issue and not a purchase, only to offer me the waxing zipper routine again. Finally, a women approached from a distance and seemed to be listening to what was going on. She appeared to be a customer but after I asked her to come closer because I felt she was eavesdropping she turned out to be a VP from New York/New Jersey corporate office and there for the event. All she had to say in a condescending manner, is that there is nothing wrong with the zipper or the extra fabric and she had the clerk proceed to train me in zipper 101. How insulting, I'm a 63 year old man that has bought many coats in my lifetime and I know how to use a zipper. I wasn't asking for a refund, all I asked was to exchange the coat for another coat that had a working zipper and no extra fabric. Her response was they do not offer any refunds or exchanges. So I then asked about there warranty policies, of which she said they do have an excellent warranty benefit but this was not eligible.For the first time in my life I was left speechless. It was clear that their luxury brand is only interested in selling product but no help should a problem arise.Please note that if you purchase anything directly from Moncler there is no consumer protection, even if you want to make an exchange to a different size the very next day after make your purchase. You are basically out of luck! I would have been better off buying the coat at Saks or Neimans where they accommodate a client. My next step is to contact my credit card company to file a dispute and then perhaps small claims court. I won't let this go as a matter of principle. How can an international designer clothing company not accommodate an exchange for another garment that is functional, beats me! To all of you out there, don't get bamboozled by the showmanship the team puts on when you are making the purchase. They initially make you feel like a king or queen, but trust me if you come back 10 minutes later with an issue it's a different story. I do not normally leave reviews, I have better things to do with my time but in this instance I couldn't help myself. Please save yourself the trouble do not shop with Moncler there are plenty of other luxury brands out there that know how to treat a valued client.
