I cannot say enough good things about the Chicago downtown loop location and most especially the customer service received from Sidney! She is so wonderful, friendly and helpful. I look forward to picking up and dropping off my cars because of her. Thank you for the always easy and smooth car rental experience!

Exceptional customer service from, Rhi. I just returned a SUV that I drove from Ohio to Chicago and had an issue with billing, Rhi took care of me and went above and beyond. Will absolutely come back to this location in the future. Real customer service is rare today and I can't reiterate enough how awesome Rhi and her co-worker were today!Oh, and the Jeep Grand Cherokee I rented to move across states was also excellent. :)

Car not available at the time I booked so stuck waiting for returns to arrive. From the reviews this seems to be a common problem here. Nothing worse than a place that knows how to take a reservation but is unable to honor the reservation. 85 rental car days or 25 rentals are needed to maintain executive elite status, and I rent cars from National all over. This location is the worst. Also no upgrade for executive elite status.

I absolute hate this location. I have been renting from National for years. Each time I come they piss me off. Today they claimed I need two numbers on file, the cars are always high mileage and terrible at this location. Shut it down!

I probably rent from National about 8-10 times a year. The LaSalle street location in Chicago is my favorite. We were given a car with less than 1/2 tank of gas. I know we only need to bring it back with the same amount but it is an inconvenience to pick up the car and then go find a gas station.

I was five minutes late to pick up car from another car rental agency (across the hall from this agency), I spoke to Richard, agent, regarding renting a car for the weekend, which was available so I was lucky. Richard was very personable. He offered me a good rate which was close to the rate on the website. After he took my information including my credit card, he also enrolled me to the rewards program. From the lobby, I was instructed to go speak with John, dispatcher, who was located on the lower level. John was very helpful regarding this rental. The car for the weekend was a Dodge Charger, which was great!! Returning of the car was very easy. The attendant verified the information and I was on my way. I would highly recommend this agency and I'll be renting again.

National Car rental has been 10/10 for me as a regular vehicle renter. The staff at my location in Chicago are attentive, timely, and personable. The service has been so solid that I wouldn't consider looking at any other vendors. Great organization.

This is probably the worst National Car Rental location in the world. Usually National is pretty good at treating their customers with respect and acknowledging when something goes wrong, but not at this location. First it’s confusing to get here and then their staff is just rude and inconsiderate. The system had let me book a car for a certain time, when I showed up, I was told in a rude tone that the wait was 2 hrs for a vehicle and asked then went and asked for my credit card and DL without even apologizing or acknowledging the situation. This is not the type of service that National strives for. I’d just go across the hall and rent from Avis as they are much nicer and treat you like a customer, not like an inconvenience.

Do not rent here. Booked a vehicle online and showed up at the scheduled time. The front desk was extremely rude and told us the wait time was 2 hours. There was no apology or conversation about the inconvenience. Do not let us rent a vehicle and plan our day around a rental if they’re not available! Terrible customer service and business model - very greedy/ misleading. Please do not rent here and give them the business.
