I have been looking for a commercial window repair company for a long time. We were very unhappy with our previous service provider. I called NEMETH GLASS first thing in the morning and they had someone out the same day to take measurements. They sent the estimate soon after, ordered the parts and did the repair without delay. I’ve already recommended them to the building next-door!

Terrible Experience – Avoid if You Have a New Car!
We had our 2025 Subaru’s windshield replaced through State Farm’s recommended options. Since we live in the area, we chose to keep it local and called Nemet Glass of Illinois. I specifically asked if they would calibrate the sensors and cameras, which is critical for a newer car like ours. They confidently said yes—but that was far from the truth.
After they replaced the windshield, we brought the car home and immediately started getting error messages from the vehicle’s safety systems. When I called Nemet Glass, they gave us a weak excuse, claiming that they tried to calibrate the system but couldn’t, and that “State Farm knew about it.” This was never communicated to us upfront.
I had to go back and forth with State Farm for days. Eventually, they allowed us to take the car to the dealership. That’s when things got worse. The dealership discovered that Nemet Glass did not use original Subaru glass, despite claiming they did. Even worse, they had completely messed up the sensors and camera alignment, making the vehicle unsafe to drive.
The dealership had to prove to State Farm that the damage and issues were caused by Nemet Glass’s poor installation. Nearly a month later, the insurance company finally agreed to cover the dealer’s repairs.
Bottom line: If you have a newer vehicle with advanced safety features, do not take it to Nemet Glass. They misled us, did shoddy work, and left us dealing with the consequences. Save yourself the headache and go to a place that knows what they’re doing.

I had called a nationwide car windshield company to come out and replace my car windshield. I had issues with their customer service prior to my appt date so I canceled the appointment. I called Nemeth and talked to the nicest man. He ordered the windshield and I brought the car in 2 days later. He had the windshield replaced in under 2 hours and saved me $110 over the nationwide company. So professional and honest.
