I’ve been a member of Palm Beach since 2015 and loved their services and the prices have always been super reasonable. However I will never be going back to this location after my debit and credit card as well as $200 in cash was stolen from me while I was either in the tanning bad or spray tan booth. Someone spent $900 on my cards and when I filed a police report Palm Beach would not release the footage without a subpoena, to then which the detective thought it would be highly unlikely that we’d catch this person since there is only a camera in the front of the store. This is absolutely ridiculous that this happened and such an invasion of privacy as well. No one from palm beach was trying to help me, I’ve never seen customer service like this before. You’d figure management would want to catch this person so this doesn’t happen to anyone else, yet this was not the case at all. Worst experience ever.

AWFUL. Plain awful. My close friend got robbed while tanning & management refuses to let police see the footage. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone ever. TERRIBLE - should be shut down.Service: Tanning

I am SO BURNT and out $55. I told the attendant it has been a long time since I tanned and I want some color but I want to make sure I do not burn. My boyfriend was just getting home after a month in Italy. She suggested a level 3 out of their 4 levels which sounded high but she said 3 is “just bronzing” and assured me I would not burn. I paid for a single and one future. I’ve never been so burnt in my life. Good thing my guy likes pomodoro ?? on the plus side she WAS nice, so that’s why I gave 2 stars. Probably not her fault, just bad training.Just an update after sending my email to support—no one ever contacted me. Just got an automatic reply saying someone would. A month ago…Service: Tanning

Car dealership > Palm Beach Tan. I walked in looking for the lowest membership but had to wait 10 mins because no one was at the desk but could hear ladies talking in the back. When the attendant came to the front, they tried to sell me on an upgrade. Being sick of repeating myself and almost walking out, she finally started the paperwork. I tanned and left. Coming back I asked for a bed with shoulder bulbs and was told they don’t have any (the first 4 beds I walked by had them). My 3rd time back, I asked again willing to pay more and again, told they didn’t have any but asked if I would like to upgrade. That’s when I canceled the membership.

The facility is clean and the folks working there are all very friendly. Management however is another matter. While I still think this is illegal, they allow pre-purchased tan visits to expire. I can think of no other business that allows gift cards or any other package of services to expire. Even Groupons must be honored to the extent they were paid for. When I spoke with management they extended me two weeks - I had 6 left from a 10-pack purchased in March of this year. I don't need 6 tans in two weeks in the middle of July. Bad business - never again.

I have been with PBT since 2013. I worked for the company and managed 3 locations in the Chicago market. PBT prided itself in the customer service that it provides to its customers. I know this because I have firsthand experienced the extensive training store managers go through to provide and coach their employees to do so. Since moving on in my career, I remained loyal to Palm Beach Tan as a consumer. It saddens me to write this message. Anytime I go to Palm Beach Tan, there seems to be an issue and the inability to solve to solve any issue or question that arises. The staff is extremely unprofessional. I called into palm beach today CHI008- Clybourn Commons in Chicago to address and re-activate my frozen account. This past year, I was unable to come in and use my account. I'm a healthcare worker and work extensive hours. With the inability to come in due to the pandemic, I decided to check on my account since it has been frozen and I have had tan dollars accumulated on my ledger for YEARS. I called the store. The tanning consultant, Larissa, picked up the phone without providing her name. She then sighed and looked up my account. I asked her to peak at my account because It's frozen and was looking to re-activate my Diamond EFT. She said that my account was terminated and that I had no accumulated tan dollars and provided me with no customer service or resolution. I asked her specifically what she sees when she looks on the left side of my ledger and she said that my tan dollar accumulation says "0.00" and that my ledger balance is $55.00 because of the termination of my account. I asked for Larissas name and I requested a call from a manager and the she hung up. She then called me back a few mins later saying that she looked through my account and said that my TanDollars expired because I have not been in the store since 2019 & that they expire after not being used within a year of accumulation. I told Larissa I was going to reach out to corporate and she said "ok" and hung up on me again-simply unacceptable. This is a ridiculous statement. Considering my last visit at PBT was December 2019 and soon after the pandemic happened- quarantine made it impossible to come in. The statement about the tandollars expiring was not true when I worked for PBT and I have a hard time accepting that my accumulation of tandollars was taken away without notification or by some swift change in policy. I know the operations of the store and I was dumbfounded by this experience. I have been frozen for years and I know that tan dollars never expire. If there was a change in policy then its very unfortunate that the company does not do adjustments due to the pandemic. Typically, after a year the balance of the tandollars decreases by a monthly rate. Especially, considering the pandemic, quarantine, and lockdown. I would love to continue visiting PBT But every single interaction with the employees in the Chicago market leaves me with a bad taste my mouth. Every time I visit a store I have to mentally prepare myself because it never ends well. I recommend to improve the customer service in the stores and coach these employees on good customer service. The customer consultants use improper rules and deceive their customers and just plain rude. I will no longer be visiting Palm Beach Tan and advise anyone using their services to be aware that their practices/rewards are inconsistent.

Great place! Friendly staff and everything! NO wonder they are putting places like eternal tan, zone tan, and eternal tan out of business. I literally love to tan with my girlfriend and enjoy a place that provides great service!
