I had a frustrating experience with cashier Erica today. When I asked her to process two separate transactions for two different dogs, she seemed visibly irritated, responding with, “Could have done it in one.” Unfortunately, since I was paying with two different cards, that wasn’t an option. I sincerely apologize for the extra work this caused her.
Additionally, when she asked if I wanted a receipt, I said yes and then requested the second one. Her response was, “Should have asked for it.” However, she never offered the option to begin with. I’m not sure if it’s typical to be made to feel as though I’m inconveniencing the staff simply for doing my job as a customer. I understand employees have busy days, but it would have been much appreciated if Erica had maintained a more professional and accommodating attitude.
Other than that, grooming services were amazing.

I like going to this store I’m closer to the one on Diversey but clybourn always has the things I need and they’re always fast to check out. Today though I went to get some dog food and was hoping to get checked out by the 2nd cashier who I believe was a manager and she pretended not see me while watching some videos and literally eating Popeyes. It wasn’t until another customer got her attention because she needed help and no one else was on the floor. She finally checked me out with food crumbs still on her face. It was pretty unprofessional and bad customer service.

Not sure if the manager was just having a bad day, but he came off pretty hostile when I asked to do a return. I believe there was an error in the system because my loyalty account wasn’t pulling stuff up correctly. I wasn’t even upset that they couldn’t do the return, more just put off by his demeanor. I get it, it’s retail, but I wasn’t hostile at all during the interaction and am not sure what prompted the irritability. Left feeling a bit unwelcome; the cashier was very pleasant, though. Hope the manager has better days in the future.
Overall the store is well-organized and kept very clean. It’s in a great location and a good place to stop in a pinch. Looks like most things were pretty well stocked.

Phone number does not work. Is automated menu with options but when you make a selection it says "wait while I transfer your call" and then the line promptly goes dead.

I came in today to get cat food and was horrified to see the majority of the beta fish looking half dead on their sides, clearly suffering from severe neglect. I told the cashier about it, but they didn't seem to care much. They said they'd tell their aquatic manager and left it at that.
When I went to leave this review, I saw another review from three months ago about the same issue! The store said they'd address it, but clearly, they haven't.
I don't even own fish, the disregard for the well-being of living creatures was enough to ensure I will never, ever purchase anything for my pets from Petco again.

This is the best place to take your dog because my other bed wanted to put my dog to sleep. My dog is only 10 years old and then to this office on Petco they told me he’s only 10 and they save my life cause I went over there to put them down, do you deny them but take care that they gave my dog and stuff and in the bed does no bacon bacon pay the best. I recommended to everybody everybody should take their dog there.
