I had to purchase some tires for my car and needed to write a check. The tire company called me and said their bank sent the check back and there was a return fee of $35 upon investigating this PNC Bank rejected this check for my signature. I’m out $35 Due to an error from PNC Bank for rejecting my signature. I contacted the manager in Lemont il And was told I am just lucky that they are protecting my account and will not refund my $35. The last 10 checks I wrote all had the same signature but this one was rejected. six months ago I went to withdraw money from my account and I had to order the $11,000 cash As they did not carry cash and wait a week because they wouldn’t give me money , which I had in my account this bank is getting tiresome to deal with and I think I will need to move my accounts to another bank.

I have called PNC multiple times in a month, regarding a error message that I keep getting when using online banking. I yet to get a the error message resolved. I was told that I would get a call back from the person that could look in to it. and I have not and the error message. what a run around for over a month.

I scheduled an appointment during my lunch hour for 12:15 pm. I was kept waiting for nearly 30 minutes and every time I asked where the person was who was supposed to meet with me, I was told she was in a different meeting. There was no apology given and no one reached out to reschedule. I’m very disappointed as I usually have good experiences with PNC. Do not go to this branch if you want to save your time and energy.

I have been going here for years and I love this branch. The staff is always so helpful, and they are dog friendly! They even have healthy treats for the PNC pooches. Thanks to everyone, especially Dee!

They don’t answer the phone - they’re short staffed - poor communication- half the things don’t work - i wouldn’t recommend this spot at all, seems like a bunch of ppl just standing around wasting time !

I cannot even begin to explain how frustrating / disappointing my experience has been with PNC Business Banking over the past few months. To start off, one of my two business accounts was *randomly* closed a little over a year after opening the accounts. Apparently the account was closed due to me not signing a form (that was never sent to me) that was just *CONFIRMING* I am STILL the sole business owner (even nothing has changed). I received an email from my new "Business Relationship Manager" two and a half weeks prior to the account closing (without my knowledge or permission), introducing himself and welcoming me into Q2... but Not mentioning that one of my business accounts is on the way to being closed within in the next few weeks if I didn't simply sign one document?..... That was never even emailed or mailed to me?! Well, the account closed, and he sent me a text message that afternoon saying he can help me open a new account "sometime soon" and mentioned "next week" - Like I don't have 16 employees on my weekly payroll or daily merchant deposits/withdrawals. To put the cherry on top, he never reached out again. Better yet, I sent him three emails asking for the closed account statement that I can no longer access from March 2022 and never received a response. I also forwarded the emails onto another branch manager that gave me her contact information and never heard back from her either. Unreal. Well done, PNC! Thanks for causing hours and hours of extra work and stress -- Exactly what I am looking for as a small business owner!

There's never a problem when I deposit my checks until today telling me I need to go to chase bank for it because the checks are chase but never has been a problem before. I had my debit card and everything and they convinced me to go to chase to do it there.

Anyone looking to open an account with PNC, go to, 1 N Franklin St, in the loop. Ask for Omar he is the guy to talk to, he helped me open an account and answered a million and one questions I had to ask him and he never rushed me through it. He actually made sure I understood everything going on, he helped me find a plan that fit my needs and even gives me a $200 sign up bonus. The entire staff is very friendly, I actually felt like a valued customer unlike some other banks I've been to. If you go ask for Omar, he's great! To the entire PNC staff at 1 N Franklin in Chicago- Thank You!

Customer service at its worst!! My father recently died and I simply wanted a yes or no if he had a safety deposit box in search of a will. Even with a death certificate they refused without a court order & turn it in through the drive thru at a local PNC branch. Really? I was finally contacted by the local branch several weeks later & informed he did not have a safety deposit box. After spending several hundreds of dollars to hire an attorney & waiting needlessly because AS HIS SON WITH DEATH CERTIFICATE IN HAND WAS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR A SIMPLE YES OR NO FOR AN EXISTENCE OF A SAFETY DEPOSIT BOX. This is BS!!! I demand PNC reimburse me for needless attorney fees! This is unacceptable to the core !!!!

I have had a PNC checking account for 10 years. This account have never exceeded $5,000 in average balance. Recently I noticed a charged of $25 per month bank charge. Called and they said it is because my balance is not $5,000. I said it's never exceeded that and I was not charged that before. They said: Previously this account was a grandfathered account, which was a type we no longer offer. We had a recent migration of accounts and the system transitioned the account to Performance Select. I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THIS!!! NOR WAS I NOTIFIED!!!! NOW THEY ARE STEALING MONEY FROM ME. WHY WOULD THEY SWITCH ME TO THIS ACCOUNT IF MY BALANCE HAVE NEVER EXCEEDED THE REQUIREMENT?!?!
