I will always recommend this place. First they took care of me right away. My dog had an allergic reaction to a vaccination so I rushed her here. Instead of trying to convince me to spend money on injected liquids, since I was right on funds they provided me with a home remedy. After that they didn’t even charge me for the doctor looking at her. I can see they actually care for our animals and I am very grateful.

Please just whatever you do, for your pets safety dont go here.I understand vets pay alot of money for their career, but there comes a time when morality and compassion should come in place for a vet. There is none of that in this clinic. These people can see you in so much pain for your pet and without touching their hearts they see the dying pet as a income to them. They are trained by greedy "veterinarians" that do not deserve their title. This is a clinic of money hungry "veterinarians" that will fake sympathy for you. If i could i would negative star this place.

My healthy 9 year old dog collapsed in our yard. After a visit to our vet, I rushed him to Premier Vet Group where Dr Jankovits, Dr Ritchie and staff had everything ready for emergency surgery. I was presented with a bill showing low and high ends requiring to pay before procedure begins. I didn’t hesitate because my dog’s tumor had burst. I cried for many reasons and thought about the families who cannot pay and have to make the decision to euthanize because they don’t have pet insurance. Please pet owners, try to get insurance. It was a big peace of mind knowing I had the insurance. It was a very costly surgery, but the care my dog received was top notch. I’m waiting to get pathology results but know it could be very bad. I’m grateful my dog made it through surgery and is home recovering thanks to the excellent staff at Premier. Thank you 10/10

We brought our sick dog in on a Wednesday evening at 9pm. We were seen within minutes. The nurse was amazing and the doctor came in and described her treatment plan. This was obviously an unexpected event and cost for us. I am thankful for the talented and dedicated staff who were kind and caring during our stay. I hope I never have to take my pup to an emergency room again, but if I do, I won't hesitate to take her to Premiere.

Emergency vet: was able to get my cat in for treatment over Labor Day weekend when all other vets were closed. She was stable, we arrived late morning, and they were very busy (11 animals came in at once), so we did wait a few hours, understandably so. When we were seen, the doctors respected and listened to my experiences and concerns and worked with me on a treatment plan.Ultrasound: my other cat required an ultrasounds and their appointment process was very simple compared to competitors. I appreciate that reception was able to give me clear directions, price estimates, and scheduling options. I was able to get him in very quickly and the report was discussed with my primary shortly after.I have booked another appointment for an Internal Medicine consultation (one doctor means it is about a month and a half out) and have confidence continuing to work with their team.

I received incredible care from Dr. Jancovitz, Dr. Rivard and all of the nurses and staff members I met that day. They gave my pup exceptionally thorough care and they clearly hold themselves to a high standard of medicine.

It’s all about the money. They turned away an injured cat someone found on the street because they couldn’t pay. Every time we have used them it’s been thousands and they won’t take 5 min to look at an injured cat? Money, money, money….I guess that’s what it’s about

Our family's experience with Premier Veterinary Group was absolutely excellent. Our dog Bernie is a small mixed terrier/Chihuahua and had sudden and perplexing change in behavior, acting frightened and yelping when we touched him. The person who answered the triage call was very caring and respectful. The front desk staff and the veterinary technicians were all very kind/respectful. Most importantly, Dr. Christina Herppich the veterinarian was thorough and skilled and figured things out very effectively and efficiently (she was also so kind/respectful, but I consider her skill and knowledge to be of upmost importance). She diagnosed Bernie with intervertebral disc disease. We have the right course of treatment and it is working. Dr. Herppich was great at explaining and put it all in writing and didn't recommend images unless worsening (and only if surgery was to be considered). We very much appreciate the excellent care.

Incredible team at Premier - we had an emergency situation on Christmas day with our dog. Excellent communication, compassion & expertise to give us our options. Would highly recommend to anyone who's looking for highly competent emergency Vet care.

My 16 yo cat broke her right rear leg. I assumed my likely option would be to amputate her leg. I took her to PVG for a surgical consult, and Dr. Jankovits thought she would be an excellent candidate for surgery. He was entirely forthcoming in telling me the most challenging part of the process would be keeping her confined for 8 weeks following surgery. Dr. Jankovits' surgery was truly remarkable. He was able to put my cat's leg back together in its original position. My personal vet marveled at Dr. Jankovits' skill. My cat was walking within the first week following surgery and her recovery was magical. I cannot recommend Dr. Jankovits and his surgical staff (Keri, in particular) more highly!

I took my cat there after taking her to Blue Pearl in Skokie, The vet there did nothing for my cat and sent me on my way after being told she was not an emergency. If only they had taken the time to look her over they might have seen the bite and took care of her then. I then took her to Premier where I should have gone in the first place. Yes, I had to wait for 4 hours, this is because at the time there was only 1 vet. I found the staff very helpful. The vets there were professions, caring and took the time to speak with me. It turns out my other cat had bit her and she had a very bad infection and was already septic. She spent 1 night in the hospital, and unfortunately the infection had spread. I had to send her over the Rainbow Bridge. The vet, brought her in to me, and I got to hold her and kiss her goodbye. They stayed with me until I said I was ready to let her go. She went very peacefully. I thank them for their compassion.

Our 10 year old dog battled with many problems during the last stage of his life. We had gone to many vets and ER vets toward the end and Premier Veterinary group was our best experience through it all. Not only was their staff caring and supportive but they helped us through making the incredibly hard choice to put our dog down. Their Euthanasia services were incredibly humane, sympathetic and allowed ample room for our family to say goodbye to our beloved dog. Their privacy rooms and method of giving us space before saying goodbye was perfect and made the difficult decision a smoother transition and allowed us to mourn and grieve in a healthy way. The staff was just so nice and understanding, especially since we were there on Christmas Eve. If you are considering putting your pet down this location was a very appropriate choice. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because the chairs are very uncomfortable and when you are made to wait 3+ hours the hard plastic bust station style seating can make you uncomfortable. It feels were to say "I recommend this place to put your pet down" but I admire the professionalism and sympathy the staff had and they did everything to perfection. Cannot thank you enough for your services and admire you all for helping families day after day.

I am posting this as 1 star and will change it after a few months to a full 5 star rating! My reasoning is to grab other’s attention to a serious matter! This place is an ER, Emergency hospital. It is also a Dr. Office. How long has a human waited in an emergency room for non-life threatening events!? Upwards of 7 hours. How long have humans waited in doctor offices even with an appointment!? Me? 3 hours.Things happen, people get stressed. True emergencies arrive!! Yes, causing more of a delay for you!I had an emergency, my cat had only 48 hours left of his life. They gave me choices to pay $4.5k or euthanasia. So many emotions ram through my head, from being so poor that I cant afford health care for my self and now I could even save my baby to my soul ripping from my body from the loss. It was my fault as a parent for not getting him insurance(I didn’t know it existed) and about 2 months prior he was yowling a lot and I should have took him then. But I just thought he was being fussy. I made a lot of mistakes and my baby paid for it. My heart is broken into grains of sand! With all that being said, this place was amazing, they took us fast, examined him with the utmost care and compassion. Gave me all options, thoroughly. Grieved with me, and took his pain away. They are highly professional, clean, and respectful. For all you people out there complaining about the wait time, have some empathy and compassion. Other things happen, pets are coming in with emergencies. People are grieving.Thank you for listening.I will change this to reflect 5 stars on New Years Eve 2023.I’m using the negative review(1 star) to grab attention to those that want to see why there are so many bad reviews. And for the majority of the negative comments are because people are a bunch of “Karen’s”

First off I want to say thank you to the team at Premier Veterinary Group. My dog 8 year old Shih Tzu Spooky had an accident yesterday 11/11/2023 he broke his nail and was bleeding profusely. My wife called several places and they referred us here, the girl that answered the phone was nice, calm and very understanding! As soon as we walked in they took him in as he was bleeding a lot. After that they took us into a room and waited. The veterinarian came in after maybe a 15 minute wait and explained to us what was going on. She was so patient and answered all of our questions! Also to the girl that gave us step by step care thank you as well you were so kind! We had many questions and concerns as our dog is on the older side. But today 11/12/2023 he is in better spirits. This was our first time ever in my dogs 8 years that we had to take him to an emergency clinic but the space was so calm and relaxing it helps a lot! Once again thank you team!!! We appreciate all your hard work.

I travel twice as far to go this vet hospital vs going to MedVet and it’s well worth it! The wait is less, they do a thorough explanation of your pet’s problem, possible options for medical care and listen to what you want to customize care. For us, it was budget constraint and the options they provided were great. The facility is nice and the staff is attentive and genuinely cares about their customers. In my opinion, best vet hospital in the city.
