The rumors are true: they have the best sourdough, with a crisp crust, light airy crumb, nice tang, and phenomenal chew. They sell a fresh, delicious variety of baguettes, boules, sourdough, and rye breads baked daily, along with sandwiches, croissants, fruit danish, and other coffee shop fare. The food is delicious, using organic, local ingredients. While the counter routine can be slow, the fresh bread is worth the wait.

Easily the best bread you can find in Chicago. Not a big fan of the routine at the counter (it's very slow), but I'd happily wait if I can get my hands on a few of their breads!
