My bank since my first bank account. Good interest rates, seldom have to wait in line, courteous service, and convenient. They invest in the neighborhood too, unlike larger banks. I have been to other banks, but this is the best.

Local bank, looks clean and has across the street parking. Notice local neighbors park there overnight and don't get towed. I call that a big plus that they don't allow the towing company to just go all pirate and tow just over a technicality

This is now a Royal Savings Bank, however, when I was growing up in the neighborhood in the 1950-60's, it was Gage Park Savings and Loan and it was located a bit west of the current building--where the drive - thru is now located. I believe the name was changed to Park Federal Savings Bank in the 1970's. The "new" building that it is now was built in the early 2000's--like 2001 or 2002--where does the time go?? Anyway, sadly it is no longer Park Federal but Royal Savings Bank. Royal Bank acquired Park Federal Savings Bank in 2016. Park Federal used to be great because when you got a home mortgage with them, they actually kept your mortgage instead of selling it off like most banks did. I know two people who got mortgages with them. Unfortunately, I wasn't one of them--wish I had known this back then. I doubt that this is still the practice because I had heard a few years back that they might not be able to keep this practice up. Well, it was nice that they tried to as long as they did. SERVICE They always seemed to provide very good service to the neighborhood and it seems that they still do. Employees have always been friendly and helpful and still are. It seems the only thing that changed was the name. PARKING There are a few parking spots behind the building and a lot directly across the street (55th Street). Street parking can also be found, but watch for metered areas. BTW, they usually sell books of stamps, but happened to be out of them today. Very disappointed in the overall Customer Service because of the Staffing and ultimately service cuts. Now, suddenly, having multiple issues accessing my online account. After 40 plus years, I'm switching to one of the BIG BANKS...Sorry!

If you can do so, avoid this bank as much as possible. They have an okay system in place but once you have a problem, they will start passing around the responsibility to assist you until you get tired of trying.

Royal Bank's CEO Leonard Szwajkowski and Vice President of the company, Toni Gonzales contracted me to do consulting work in digital marketing. They sent me banking books to start the research. I've spent hours working on the project, and afterwards they've stopped communicating with me, yet I did the work that I've never got paid for. I've sent them the invoice for the time spent, on which they've previously agreed to. Yet they never paid for the time they've agreed, and they never followed through.

This bank sucks!! They are slow, and not very helpful. I'v been with them for six months and the only reason why I am still with them is because they charge you $50!!!!!! to close your account before six months. I am counting down the days to six months when I can close this account and be done with this bank. I will say most of the time the clerks are nice, but what does that matter when they can never help you with any thing??!! Online banking is a joke!! Telephone banking doesnt work!! I would advise anybody to stay away from this bank, they are not very helpful towards their customers...
