After hearing about my friend’s experience at Salon Buzz, I’m really concerned. She ordered 5 packs of 22-inch extensions, but they gave her only 3 and added 2 packs of 24-inch extensions without telling her, charging her $480 extra. The color was messed up, and the extensions weren’t applied properly, leaving her with thin, uneven hair. The manager didn’t even apologize and was incredibly rude when she tried to explain. This place is not trustworthy at all

Sophia messed up my hair. Don’t go to her- she didn’t listen to me about what I wanted. I even showed her photo. Claire washed my hair but her nails were overgrown it was so disgusting. These people aren’t worth money. Go somewhere else. Sophia gave me the worst hair cut of my life. And they r so dismissive. Worst customer service

I’ve gotten my hair cut at this location for 3 years. Most recently, I got a botched haircut from someone who’s been praised in the reviews. (An extra star for the other stylists)
I didn’t ask for anything complicated, just some inches off. A few weeks (yikes) later, someone showed me how lopsided the ‘U’ shape looked from the back, and I was mortified I hadn’t noticed! (Unfortunately I rewarded it with a generous tip.) I went to another salon in the area and they were able to fix it. This place is too pricey for this amateur behavior. Maybe it has something to do with stylists being rushed to get customers in and out in 30 minutes, I don’t know. The stylist also didn’t put the cape over me in the chair so the hair just fell all over me while she cut it, which was unprofessional and has never happened at any other salon. Overall, the energy felt unwelcoming and a bit passive aggressive so I’m taking the hint and my business elsewhere. If you get work done here, I recommend asking the stylist to fully show you every angle of your final look, no matter how quickly they try to get you out of their chair.

I have been seeing Aracely and Phil for YEARS now. By far the absolute best haircut of my life every time. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. If you are looking for a stylist who actually understands how to cut curly hair go see them they are truly gods at what they do.

Don’t let a bad review steer you from this place! You have to find the person that best fits your needs. Sam Makaris is my go to for long length haircut and blowout. The staff is really friendly and have very efficient processes. It’s an experience here from check in, to robe change, to tea or glass water to getting a nice hair wash all through the haircut and blowout! Also a bonus that the salon is beautiful inside!

How can we do a 0 star review???
I got my hair cut last week by Phillip Terriquez at Salon Buzz Gold Coast and this is what I went home with! He hid it well with some curls (must have known he made a mistake) but when I went home from the salon and flat ironed my hair- this is what I saw!
I am APALLED and mortified. I know my hair will take 1+ years to get to the point where this will even be able to be attempted to be fixed.
Check out the left side- half my hair is CHOPPED. the right and left are UNEVEN and nothing is blended whatsoever. It looks like a 5 year old took kid scissors to my head and charged me $85 for it.
worst part of it all was Phil ghosted me when I showed this to him, and I had such a hard time getting a manager to finally call me to try to make things right. Well, once I got a hold of her after many messages, she basically said it was my fault for not noticing it sooner and could not offer any way to fix it.
she offered NO apology or remorse and said if I were to even think about posting a review (she brought this up first), she would lie and say she refunded me and tried to fix it- and then she would get my review taken down.
I first reached out to Phil and also the salon to try to avoid having to blast them like this as its not my style- but when I got no response or even an apology, I posted this review.
save yourself and do NOT go to this salon and especially NOT Phil. I think the only hair practice he got was cutting his barbie's hair when he was a kid???
I've already had 30 responses to my instagram post about this, friends all appalled and offering other recommendations for different salons eager to fix this mess if possible. but I want to save the rest of you. DO NOT GO HERE!!! you will leave mortified and in tears.

Gabby is the best! She makes my hair look great. She’s been great at helping my embrace my natural gray. The shampoos are always very relaxing! The salon overall all has a great modern vibe with people that make you feel very welcome!
