Shedd Aquarium is an underwater wonderland that sparks compassion, curiosity, and conservation for the aquatic animal world. The aquarium showcases diverse marine life through beautifully designed exhibits, featuring playful dolphins, charming penguins, and fascinating sharks. Visitors recommend spending at least three hours to fully enjoy everything it offers. While the dolphin show is a highlight, some may experience longer waiting times. The atmosphere is lively, with children enthusiastically interacting with the exhibits. Although parking can be expensive and the gift shop may lack certain items, the experience is highly rated overall. The aquarium provides educational opportunities and family fun by the lakefront, making it a must-visit destination for all ages. Visitors often leave with unforgettable memories from their encounters with the animals, including sea lions and unique fish species.

Our first visit to the Shedd Aquarium was a nice experience, and we’d definitely return. However, navigating the layout was a struggle; the directions and maps were complicated and difficult to follow. Since we went on a weekend, it was also extremely busy, so keep the crowds in mind when planning your trip.

We enjoyed our visit and were able to get in because we paid for a time entry slot before we left from home. My only regret was the lack of information of the wild life in the tanks. Parking was $32 at the North Garage of Solider’s Field, which was easy to find and had many parking slots.
