I was driving home and saw their white sign outside. Decided to stop and try it out. I ordered the Spicy Italian sub and a Breaded Steak sandwich. They were delicious! So good that I couldn’t stop to take a picture. I’ve passed by this place for years and never stopped to look. That changed today. I will be going back pretty soon and often.

If you’re hunting for an authentic Italian sub in the Chicago area, look no further than this delightful deli I stumbled upon. Hidden in plain sight, this place is a treasure trove of culinary excellence, run by the most heartwarming husband and wife team you'll ever meet. Every visit to this establishment is more than just a meal; it's an experience that transports you straight to the heart of Italy.First off, let’s talk about the vibe of this place. From the moment you walk in, the owners make you feel incredibly welcome. There’s an undeniable warmth in their greeting, a kind of hospitality that’s rare and genuine. They have this way of making every customer feel special, creating an atmosphere that’s both friendly and inviting. It’s clear they pour their hearts into their deli, and it shows in every detail, from the decor to the way they remember your favorites. Now, onto the star of the show - the Italian sub. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill sandwich. It’s a masterpiece of flavors and textures, each bite taking you closer to Italy. The bread, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, is just the beginning. The meats are top-notch, rich in flavor and perfectly seasoned, paired with the freshest veggies and a blend of condiments that hit all the right notes. It’s evident that there’s a lot of thought and care put into making each sub not just good, but exceptional. What really sets this deli apart, though, is the sense of community it fosters. The owners have a knack for making connections with their customers, making you feel like part of a big, Italian family. Their passion for food and people radiates throughout the place, making it a beacon for those who appreciate great food served with love.I find myself driving 45 minutes from the suburbs just to get my hands on one of their subs. It’s not just about the food, although that alone is worth the trip. It’s about the experience, the warmth, and the feeling of being valued and appreciated. In a bustling city like Chicago, this deli is a slice of home. So, if you're ever in the area and craving an Italian sub that will blow your mind, head over to this deli. Trust me, it’s not just a meal; it’s an experience that you’ll want to come back for, time and time again.

Parking: If there’s no obvious parking on Morgan, I recommend parking on W 31st Pl and walking a few steps around the corner.Kid-friendliness: Lots of soda options.

Great subs (we've tried meatball and chicken parm) plus check the soup of the day -- their stuffed green pepper soup is out of this world! Along with the delicious food, enjoy the friendly staff and the cute garden patio. Summer is coming!

Small. Welcoming. Great beef sandwich. Friendly staff. Side note: Yelp needs less restrictions on the amount of things needed to say & more on what the reviewer wants to say.

Try the Spicy Italian Sausage pizza! The slice is unbelievably triangular. It has just the right amount of flop, while still maintaining a pervy amount of stiffness. Whip out a sausage slice and flop it up on a table. Give it a good flip flop, and go in for the deep-throat. Definitely coming back for another isocoles. Thanks guys!

Great neighborhood sangich shop. Try the spicy Italian. My partner loved the meatball sandwich. The stuffed pepper soup was outstanding. They sell their own giardiniere and both the mild and hot are good. There's a side lot where you can eat outside when the weather is nice. Tons of fresh basil growing out there. What looks like home made cannoli are sitting on the counter. Will have to try them next time.

I'm a big fan of Italian subs, always wanting to try a new one. Usually I go to the old Taylor street area but this time I went to Bridgeport. The sandwich was good but here for a sandwich and chips and a pop it was over $17.00 and when I go on Taylor street the same size sandwich with chips and a pop is less than $10.00.Where do you think I went today?

This is my first visit to Nonna's Deli. The staff was very welcoming the deli was small and colorful. They have such a wide variety hot and cold Italian Sandwiches. I decided to try their ham and cheese submarine and take it to go. From the bread to the Ham...everything was delicious about their sandwich. It's now on my list of places to eat on Bridgeport.

Fabulous. Thank you for delivering to the westside!! We’re newlyweds, and we credit our love in part to these sandwiches. Fresh bread, meats, cheeses, the mozzarella - truly, I’m a New Yorker. You can trust me with deli opinions. Cannoli’s, excellent. Wish the macaroni salad didn’t have onions, but that’s probably just me. This is our favorite sandwich spot
