My bf paid 750 for the booth and bottles. Security let just anybody come up there when we left and drink our liquor. When I went to people about it I was gaslit. (2 bottle girls and one security man at least twice) The woman looked 40 years old (or so) and tried to say my hand was in her face and kept putting words in my mouth. Obviously she is paid to gaslight and start fights to make the customer look crazy. Check the cameras. Absolute scam. Was thrown out even though she is the one that started being aggressive with me. She also put her hand in my face!! I never put my hand in hers. They will paint a fake image of you to make sure they don’t get busted for their mess ups.

worst venue I have ever been to - the security harassed me and my friends, the sound was ass, water was not available, no ac, and venue was significantly over capacity causing huge safety concerns. security was screaming in our faces and were so aggressive.

Bartender denied me water after paying for drinks. Rude and unprofessional. How does paying for drinks not get me tap water?? Had to still pay $8 for bottled water? Outrageous.

Hey never go here!! I came to see a DJ (ticketed event) and all the staff here made it a miserable experience. They were yelling at everyone, trying to “clear a walkway” but we were completely out of where people would walk. Also $10 for a bottle of water?! Give me a break lol on top of all of this it was oversold, not that cute with no air flow or fans, the sound was bad and all the staff was rude before we even got in. So disappointed because I was really looking forward to coming here to see a show

Hoorible experience. I have been in Chicago for 6 years and had never been kicked out of a club for asking the name of a bouncer that was being homophobic and racist. I guess latinos are not welcome at all in this place because my Argentinian friends got kicked out as well. I asked repeatedly what the name of the guy kicking us out was and he never responded. I just got the name JJ and he was extremely rude and abusive as well.
Do not recommend this club to anyone, PLEASE AVOID I had never been before, I usually go to spybar across the street and get treated nicely literally VIP every time, here, they literally kicked me out not caring at all about anything. If you get the chance to go across the street PLEASE DO, SOUND BAR is not worth it at all!!!!!

If you're into being constantly watched, hovered over, and treated like a threat just for dancing — Sound-Bar is your spot. The military-style security is beyond overkill. You can’t rave, vibe, rage, or even move without feeling like you're under surveillance. The energy is cold, the freedom is nonexistent, and the whole place feels like it’s scared of its own crowd.
Hosting dubstep or riddim shows here is pointless — this venue kills the rave before it starts. For real music lovers and dancers, this place is a hard NO.

At this point Sound Bar just doesn't have the appeal that it used to, and drinks are way to much even just water bottles will cost you an arm and a leg.

DJ was great and vibe was cool.
No drink menu but very experienced bartenders that can make majority of drinks.

One of the worst nightclubs i’ve ever visited in my life. Most of the bar tenders won’t serve you water????? he said he didn’t have time to pour it for me and then said $7 for WATER. 4 shots is $50. and we paid $23 just to get in. $23 and it was basically empty. I highly do not recommend this club. bouncers were dancing with girls and letting them play with their flashlights. everything about this bar is unprofessional. Bar tender is pictured below.

The club was good but a little cramped. Make sure you find out what time the performers you want to see actually start at, not just what it says online. Otherwise the security and servers were nice, but the drink prices were astronomical.
