4.12 stars. This review is for the $3 auto wash with free vacuum only. The entrance is on WEST portion of property, enter off Rascher!I appreciate the strong vacuums and garbage cans for your car debris. There is always an attendant who guides you in, then gives your vehicle a quick prewash. Once in the automatic portion, the brushes and water do a great job. Frankly, I prefer the results compared to the DIY bays.Note: take your towels and chamois to hand dry, as there are no subcontractors to provide any wiping/drying services. I roll a 1/2 near Scooterworks or 4 blocks down to Amundsen HS parking lots South of Foster and Damen...to complete the drying job. KEEP IT IN NEUTRAL...it's OK to tip .50-$1. Sometimes closes early...Stated hours 8AM-4PM.

For some reason, it's hard to find self-service car washes anymore in the city and this one's a great option. There's a strange attendant who mythically appears from a hole in the wall like a troll or troubled spirit. I'm not sure if he actually works there or wanders over from the graveyard across the road.Pros:- It's right next to a cemetery. Great for date nights- Decent washing system with multiple settings (foaming brush, power spray, etc.)- Can pay with a credit card (vs. quarters)- There are probably 10 or 12 separate washing stations- Vacuum stations and air machine for tires- Ample lot space for cleaning your interior after the exteriorCons:- Somewhat pricey considering the service (water and soap)- Not all the vacuums seem to accept credit cardsPlus, washing your car is fun! I don't know why more people don't do it themselves!

I’ve been coming here for years. It’s slowly just been a worse and worse experience. Today both the pre soak and wax were just not working, water only. I rarely feel like my car leaves properly washed. Disappointing and I hope they turn this place around.

Hidden Gem - Avoid the toxic, nonsensical always angry morning custodian - but otherwise all other staff are beyond helpful and friendly and this facility is a rare well-maintained, safe and fast/efficient even in high traffic times treat. Few self wash bays are still alive, and most are showing their age. But despite always being overly respectful in my weekly patronage due to how much I used and loved this place, the morning custodian's complete lack of professionalism, and frankly, common sense, turned what I had planned to be a very long praise of this car wash to a suggestion that management might want to have a pow wow with one employee in particular (again all others have been steller) customer service and whom speaks for the company.

The machine in the bay that I used had an unreadable screen; so I couldn’t tell what it was telling me about my credit card swipe. But worst of all, after having to get five dollars worth of quarters, and having spent all five dollars on time, I finished the wash with a “spot, free“ rinse, only to find out 10 minutes later that my car was covered with water spots. There was clearly no chemical in the spot free rinse water.

Finding an automatic touch less car wash is more challenging than I would expect. Fortunately, this one is close enough for me to use. I generally get the basic car wash or maybe the next one up and my car isn't totally clean after but it's much better than it was when I brought it in. I'm grateful.

The automatic wash didn't actually wash my car, just got it wet and soapy. Still dirty afterwards and then the vacuums cost money. Waste of money for the cheapest option of 7$ especially since I saw a 3$ one around the corner which is half the price and has free vacuums

Great place and one of the few touchless automatic washes in the city. There are many complaints about the charge of $10 to the credit cards *THIS IS ONLY THE AUTHORIZATION* After a few days when it posts to your account it will be the correct amount. My biggest gripe is the exit ramp. I damaged my front bumper as it is super steep.

I went to the furthest left quick self wash. I wanted to use the high pressure soap, but it just came out as water. After switching it to the soap brush and trying to make up for lost time, the attendant came out to yell at me for being in there without this machine being on.

This station offers everything you would need for a self car wash. I do recommend bringing your own towels or scrub instead of using the brush provided.

Used to be good but the constant price increases suck. Now $7 for the cheapest most basic car wash? No thank you.

Wow have been going to this car wash for years when l'm in a hurry,l do prefer the one directly behind it,when l have a few mins. Today ran in,price went from 5.00 to 7.00,was sitting in car thinking something seems different(no nice soap smell) then realized there was no soap in auto wash?? What a waste!

The wash itself is decent and it’s the only touch-less wash close to downtown, but the dryer isn’t great (acceptable since I bring towels) and it’s impossible for me to use the exit ramp without suffering damage. My car isn’t lowered and is completely stock. I can only use this wash if it isn’t busy so I can pull through a wash bay to exit.

I see plenty of complainers on this place. But hey whataya want from a 3 buck chuck carwash kids? If you're too lazy to take time to hand wash your car then don't complain. Yep, I'm too lazy too so you get what you get for 3 bucks. A good spot for a quick car wash. The self-serve is tidy and in working order. But that's for the hedonistic, patient folks. I'm of the other variety, quick and in a hurry, so I use the drive through which is pretty damn good if you want my two- cents. It's behind the self-serve bays and you have to use free vacuums before entering the wash. It 3 bucks for the standard wash on upwards to 15 dollars for the deluxe snazzy jazzy wax and all the extras. I do the 3 buck chuck wash but always tip the attendant 3 bucks and he always gives me a little extra love on the initial brush down. Can't really beat this place no matter which wash you choose. Unlike the 3-4 buck quick washes around the Northside this one has no lines and no bs. It's off the beaten path next to the cemetery and across from a bunch of warehouses. A nice city-day-get-a-way. Just remember it's at the corner of Damen & Rasher Street and the drive thru is behind the self-serv bays not to be confused with the full service 30 dollar car wash right next door to the north.

This place takes the top of the list of dirty businesses in my book. Please believe me when I say DO NOT GO HERE and if you do be careful you may just wind up like me, S.O.L. January 9th 2023 my fiance and I were running errands and wanted to do a quick car wash at this place to get the salt off the car. We paid the $5 and followed the directions to move forward and stopped when it told us to. The "touchless" wand sprayed the soap all over the car and went back to the starting position and then stopped. Oddly the "move forward" sign came back on and like a good boy I followed the instructions and moved forward a few inches or so then stopped when the sign had prompted..the "touchless" arm came back on but this time it was hitting the front side of our car. I realized the machine was having problems so I quickly reversed the car but the wand got snagged onto the car and when I pulled away the ball bearing or weight came back around like a sling shot and cracked our windshield. We figured this out afterwards because we really couldn't see out of the window as the car was covered in soap. Now, the machine didn't work, we had soap still all over the car, and theres no one around. Upset and confused, I pulled around back to the entrance to try to find an attendant which I did and was amazed to find someone there. He was working on something in the control room when I walked over.. I saw him talking to a guy inside the control room who later said he was the manager to the police officer. He lied to the police officer and said he wasn't there at the time of the incident. what they were doing was fixing the controls while the machine was operating. He blamed me and couldn't have been more rude and ignorant. I've read other reviews and I know this guy who works there is a real jerk, he calls women bitches when they complain and yells at customers. When the young police officer came in his spotless cruiser, I mean I have never seen a police vehicle this spotless. It dawned on me later that this officer may get his free car washes there. Because He and the ignorant man who works there were laughing it up on the side like they were buddies while he was giving his statement and not being transparent with us.. The attendant never looked the cop in the face any time he spoke to him, he only talked to him from the side,it was strange. I knew he was lying to the young officer cuz he couldn't even look him in the eyes. We said if you don't believe us look at your video cameras? oh there's cameras everywhere, they're just not where the machine broke our windshield? How convienent for them! To make matters worse, the cop sided with them and said it was my fault and to not worry about it cuz its not that big of a deal!! I said sir it is a big deal to us, we came in for a $5 car wash just to get the salt off our car and we followed the car washes directions. Didn't matter. Now we are out over $1200 because we need a new windshield on a 2021 vehicle. The manager (who is really an owner I believe) tried everything to make us out to be the culprits by whispering to the cop to run our plates for anything invalid or otherwise outstanding, like a warrant, etc. what a scumbag! This is what I mean by the car wash business, these people are unscrupulous without a shred of integrity, do not go here...find a good one if you can and don't go to any of these cheap places or you may regret it like us! I guess touchless is a foreign word to them that means something else!
