Absolutely racist! My experience at this store was horrible. I had a disappointing experience at Syd Jerome due to unprofessional and discriminatory behavior. During my visit, I felt targeted in a way that seemed racially motivated, which made me extremely uncomfortable. As a customer, I expected respect and professionalism, but instead, I encountered behavior that reflects poorly on the company’s values.
It’s disheartening to see such attitudes in a business that claims to serve a diverse clientele. I hope Syd Jerome takes this feedback seriously and works on fostering a more inclusive and respectful environment for all customers. Discrimination has no place in any establishment.

I have been seeing my friends at Syd Jerome for over 30 years for the vast majority of my wardrobe. They introduced me to fine clothing and I have never turned back.The quality of their suits is superb and the tailoring is stellar. If you want to look your best, there is no substitute.

I stopped in to look for a jacket while visiting Chicago on a work trip and ended up purchasing a Peter Millar vest. Within one use, the zipper at the bottom broke, making it essentially useless. I reached out to Peter Millar customer service and they suggested talking to Syd Jerome first (and to reach back out if they're unhelpful) and provided me their customer service email. Syd Jerome did not resolve the matter - in fact, they didn't even respond to my emails (except for the note forwarded from Peter Millar customer service). They ignored my request for a shipping label and my follow up email to that. After one month of silence from Syd Jerome, I informed Peter Millar customer service that no resolution was reached - thankfully, the representative at Peter Millar was responsive, friendly and ultimately willing to step in to make matters right since Syd Jerome would not do so. I used to live in Chicago and work in the loop for years - I would walk past this store daily but never stopped inside. Needless to say, I will not be returning or recommending this store to anyone. Terrible customer service.

I called at the very last minute for a "black party" outfit for the owner of my company. Billy, the salesperson, and Juan, the tailor, actually came across the street to our office and brought everything he might need in all different tall/long sizes, which he cannot usually find off the rack and on short notice. Lo and behold, a full outfit was found, and Syd Jerome is even tailoring all three items within THREE HOURS. Syd Jerome truly has examplary customer service that is hard to find at all anymore. My boss will make his event on time and in style thanks to this fantastic team. Thank you so much!
