FRAUD!!! After working with Ricardo on my suit for my birthday, he literally stopped responding to text, calls, email, social media etc.. basically stole my down payment for the suit.

I was in need of the best suit for my sister's wedding and reached out to Ricardo for the Bespoke experience. I scheduled a consultation with him on July 2, 2021 where him and his sales partner treated me to top shelf spirits and took all the necessary measurements. Ricardo was over an hour late to my initial consultation but I understood that traffic is crazy traveling from one end of the city to another so I didn't think anything of it. I let Ricardo and his partner know that I intended to wear the suit for my sister's wedding at the end of August 2021 and asked him multiple times whether creating a suit from scratch would even be possible under this timeline (8 weeks). He continuously shared that he would have no problem doing so, that in fact I would have a suit in hand 2 weeks prior to my deadline. I understood that we were in the middle of a pandemic and under worldwide logistical restrictions with shipping so that is why I kept asking him if this was even possible. I paid him in full at the end of my initial consultation and left feeling excited to finally have something created by him.The follow up consultation was scheduled weeks later and I confirmed prior to driving from the western suburbs to meet him in downtown Chicago for the preliminary fabric fitting. I show up to the office space 15-20 minutes early and sent Ricardo a text message letting him know I had arrived. After waiting for 45 minutes I get a call from him saying that he would have to reschedule because he was not onsite and did not have the prototype fabric suit ready. I left disappointed since I had driven 45 mins to find out that my appointment could not be fulfilled. I was finally able to get a follow up fitting scheduled and met Ricardo in his home for this step. The consultation went well, he made minor adjustment markings to the preliminary suit to send for the final production run. I mentioned that we were now 4 weeks away from the wedding and asked if getting the suit complemented was still possible. He assured me that since we were now at the final stage of the process that the timeline would be met. Weeks went by and I did not hear from Ricardo, but still had confidence that I would have a suit for the wedding. I was starting to get a little worried but not quite panicking as of yet. Now at 12 days out from the wedding I reached out to Ricardo and didn't hear back. I tried via text message, phone calls leaving multiple voicemails, and emails and nothing. Finally at 24 hours before the wedding I was finally able to get his attention when I sent a request for refund of my payment. He called me apologizing for not having the suit and gave me every excuse under the sun as to why I didn't have a suit in hand. He mentioned that he was not in the position to issue me a refund and asked for the opportunity to fix this. He offered me a 2nd suit at no additional cost if I allowed him to fix this whole situation. I understood that things happen and that perhaps the logistical climate we were in left things out of his control. My main frustration was his lack of communication and transparency throughout the entire process, leaving me to find a back up suit at the final hours before the wedding.I finally had a suit delivered in hand in October 2021 (2.5 months late) and was informed that the 2nd suit was already being constructed to the same measurements as the first. I was happy to have received the first suit, even though it was missing some of the original items initially discussed at the first consultation. Now after 4 additional months of multiple attempts to reach Ricardo via text, phone call, and emails I have yet to get ahold of him or receive the 2nd suit.Overall, I am disappointed with the entire process and hope that my very long review will aid someone in deciding whether to do business with him or not. Please read other of his low reviews and you will find a common pattern going back to 2015.

Gentlemen, if you’re considering doing a custom suit or tuxedo for your wedding, do it with the Dapper Club you will not regret it. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Ricardo while crafting my custom dream suit for my wedding. The location is tucked in a cozy chic studio conveniently located in the South Loop. For my initial consultation, Ricardo took the time to go through each fabric, design and button until I got the “look” I was going for. I was able to customize every detail of my piece to me specifications. Ricardo also goes through several fittings to make sure you get just the right fit. Guys, skip the dusty bland tuxedo rental places of your Fathers and Grandfathers and make sure you are looking fresh for your special day. The Dapper Club put it over the top with custom monograms in all of the right places. The best part is I can continue to wear this suit with different looks throughout the years. The Dapper Club has completely changed the way I look at suits. All of my suits now have gone through them instead of a regular chain store because everything is custom fitted, I get to pick out every detail from color to material, it makes me feel confident and powerful, last long, and I get recommendations on how to mix up my suit with other outfits to use it to it’s fullest potential. The service there is great and the knowledge I have on my side when picking a suit for my specific occasion and body type, wearing, and cleaning it is outstanding. I Love coming to this place! The atmosphere always inviting and Ricardo is super attentive. I have purchase 6 suits from the dapper club in the last year. If your looking for a place to get suited up, I definitely recommend The Dapper Club. I’ve had 3 suits, a sport jacket, and 5 shirts done by them, and I must say the feel and quality is amazing. The picture I shared, was one of the suits they did for me and I just picked up from them this past week. I got so many compliments about the suit when I wore it. Happened to be one of the lucky few to be apart of The Dapper Club grand opening event where I met the founder Ricardo. Since then I have seen The Dapper Club brand grow exponentially. I finally decided to get one of my first custom blazers here not too long ago and am tremendously satisfied. Ricardo goes the extra mile to make sure your fitting is just right. My blazer needed a second alteration which Ricardo took care of at no extra cost. You get to design everything from start to finish at the Dapper Club and nothing is cookie cutter. It's clear that The Dapper Club is a brand you can wear proudly. If I want anything custom I go to Ricardo at The Dapper Club. A+ 5 Stars!!!!

The Dapper Club and Ricardo were amazing! We worked with him to build my husbands custom suit for our wedding and it came out perfect, just how we envisioned. He walked us through step by step, teaching us, and giving his professional opinion; it was a great experience. We purchased his shoes from Marc Nolan too which were not only so stylish but very comfortable as well. Overall, a great experience and two thumbs up!
