The Field Museum in Chicago is a premier destination for exploring the wonders of the world, showcasing nearly half a million square feet of gallery space. Visitors can marvel at SUE, the world’s most famous T. rex, delve into the mysteries of Ancient Egypt, and admire an impressive collection of precious gems. The museum has implemented health measures for safety, including face masks, increased cleaning, social distancing markers, and one-way paths to guide visitor traffic. Guests describe the museum as an excellent learning experience, filled with fascinating exhibits on earth evolution, dinosaurs, and human civilizations. Many note the extensive and interactive nature of the displays, making it enjoyable for both children and adults. While the entrance fee is considered high, visitors agree that the experience is worth every penny. It is recommended to plan for more than four hours to fully appreciate the offerings. However, some visitors have reported issues with customer service, specifically regarding ticketing for students. Despite this, the overall consensus is that the Field Museum is a must-visit, especially for those interested in a deep and enriching educational experience. The museum also provides areas for guests to enjoy their own food and has vending machines available.
Awesome place to walk around definitely could spend a few hours in here checking out all of the different exhibits.

Very good experience. Purchased tickets from city pass. I was allowed to purchase special exhibits once onsite.
I would recommend bringing snacks and water. There is security onsite but no searches or metal detectors at this time.

A truly beautiful museum! During my tour, everyone both children and adults absolutely loved it. It is filled with fascinating details, but the most magnificent sight of all was the dinosaurs.
