TFI is the BEST! The entire staff is incredibly considerate & attentive to the needs of their patients & clients. Katee's expertise & compassion were just what I needed to get me on the road to recovery. She worked up a superb exercise program that not only worked onsite, but that I could easiIy fit into my daily routine at home. I would enthusiastically recommend TFI to anyone & everyone I know.

I worked with Tim to resolve a lingering issue that cropped up while running. Chronic injuries can be tricky and typically have many causes. Tim did a great job of listening and reevaluating based on your progress in your desired activities. He also provides a wide array of manual treatments that really helped. I personally found the dry needling to be extremely useful.

Recommended for physical therapy, Victoria and Mike were both great! Went through physical therapy for severe back pain and mobility issues. They educated and explained the treatment plan and extremely helpful with all exercises, stretches, and techniques. They have a passion for helping their patients. Thanks!!! Keep it up Victoria and Mike.

I highly recommend TFI for Physical Therapy. I started physical therapy with Tim to address back spasms that made it difficult for me to bend over and painful to walk. Tim used a combination of manual therapy, dry needling, stretching and strengthening exercises so I could return to an active lifestyle. I found it very easy to make appointments that worked with my schedule. Everyone I worked with was friendly, professional and attentive.

Generally very good experience overall, every physical therapy place I've been to has been busy but they seem to have good attention to deal. Victoria and Michael were both great to work with, observational and helpful. When I started there it did seem like they were a bit overbooked but many of the initial observations of changes have already been implemented, the team there seems to be receptive to feedback and adaptable which are important traits when working with patients. I hope the team is able to grow to provide additional focus to clients and I felt like I was able to meet the goals I had set out in the time there.

Injury: Dislocated Hip, Front.Motorcycle AccidentMedical: Emergency SurgeryPT: TFI, 8+ monthsAge: 39I was brand new to PT and I'm so happy I was referred to TFI and Ryan. My experience, progress, learnings and recovery were exceptional. I've had the pleasure of working with pretty much every therapist at TFI, and I would recommend all of them, but Ryan was my main therapist.I've redeveloped the lost muscle in my legs and strengthened both quads, learned a ton about glutes, and enhanced my hip flexibility beyond what was possible prior to the accident. The accident and my PT experience kicked me into health and wellness overdrive where I began focusing on diet, exercise, stretching, and mobility. I'm back to running fast, lifting, and doing exercises I've never seen before. They have an awesome app that you can use to train when you're not at the facility. They also have a pretty amazing cold bath recovery room at their new location in Vernon hills. If you're looking for a solid team, give them a call. I promise you won't be disappointed.

So happy FIT has opened in Vernon Hills. Beautiful complete facility. I have I have known Isaac and worked with him for several years now through two pre-and post surgeries, and he is the best. A knowledgeable, professional who goes all out and cares for his patient's success. He has gotten me through some tough situations. Always positive and realistic. Thank you Isaac

It’s been about 10 months since having my ACL Reconstruction Surgery. The recovery has been long and often times very painful. It has definitely challenged my ability to remain positive. That is where having Top Tier physical therapy comes in.I started my physical therapy at Illinois Bone & Joint Institute where I was treated like just a number. I had no one to chat with about billing questions or concerns and the therapists lacked any hands on therapeutic tactics. I literally was hardly touched at IB&J. I was told to perform various exercises and then they had me run on a treadmill super prematurely. I chatted with my surgeon and he strongly advised against any kind of impact/running at my stage in recovery. I lost faith and my positive mindset with IB&J so I searched for a better solution. From the moment I reached out to TFI, I was interacting with compassionate staff and felt a genuine sense of care for my rehabilitation. I scheduled my visit and it’s been a real game changer ever since.I have been rehabbing with Tim mostly and have had several sessions with Victoria also. I can’t say enough about how great the two of them are. But I’ll try!I primarily rehab with Tim, but Victoria was able to pick up where we left off on the few times I worked with her. I felt like I didn’t miss a beat in my rehab if I changed between the two, so don’t worry if your primary tech isn’t available!Tim has provided excellent care from day 1. We essentially break the 60 minutes into two sections. Part 1: a hands on analysis of the muscular / structural condition/integrity and this also provides quality trigger-point therapy which I find super helpful in recovery. Part 2: building strength and optimizing range of motion. Quality exercises designed specifically for where I am in recovery at that moment. If you need the best physical therapy for your ACL reconstruction and healing, don’t delay and schedule your visit with Tim or Vic @ TFI they have been great!!(ACL Reconstruction 9/13/2022)

After almost a whole year, trying to recover from a hip arthroscopy, I was recommended by a good friend to the FIT institute. This is has been life changing. Ryan is so wonderful. Hands on physical therapy, very compassionate, and very caring. Been in therapy for almost three weeks and his techniques, skills and knowledge have improved my pain tremendously.I can’t thank them enough.

Sent my 12 year old baseball player to Ryan for treatment of a shoulder injury. Ryan is a highly skilled therapist and has a great bedside manner with my son. Aides are good communicators and make following directions for exercises easy. Highly recommended PT practice.

TFI physical therapy has reduced my pain and improved my function dramatically. I also benefitted from doing the exercises on the TFI app. The app has a video of each exercise. Ryan LeFever has tailored the exercises to me and has modified them as I progressed. I recommend him and TFI.

I’m relatively young, 31, but I’ve got bad knees. Bad meniscus really. 3 prior surgeries. 4 stints in physical therapy. Gell injections. Cortisone injections. Prescribed anti-inflammatories. I still needed a fourth surgery. This time around would be different. More intense. Stitching the broken parts of meniscus back together instead of just scoping out the broken bits; longer recovery time.I decided to do experimental recovery treatments like a PRP injection during the end of surgery, and a stem cell injection a few weeks after surgery. Even with the biological aid, recovery time would be longer. I decided to go with a new physical therapy institute to accompany this new procedure. I went with The Fit Institute because of their experience treating professional athletes with equivocal ailments who ultimately have an even more driven goal of returning to their sport at a professional level.I called in, told them my sob story, and Tim was the immediate recommendation. Tim specialized in TMJ and lower extremities, particularly knees. Tim’s my guy. We looked at the schedule and found times that worked. It was like gravy.Tim’s really good at what he does but it’s also because of the policies at TFI. All therapists are hands on offering manual techniques for recovery while also providing custom exercises that build strength at the appointment and at home. With Tim though, I could tell him the one specific area that was bothering me and how. Like there’s sharp pain on the front lower outside quadrant of my knee cap. Or it’s just my back inner hamstring muscle today. And he’d be like, no problem I know how to fix that. He’d apply pressure, use tools, hold the muscle, pop, lock, and drop it. And not before too long, I’d be pain free with increased mobility. He got me back to biking 30 miles a day. If I won the lottery tomorrow, I’d walk into TFI, tell John I’m sorry but I’m stealing your boy. I’d be like Tim, I’m buying you out. I’m going hella skiing, surfing, skydiving, I’m gonna need a quality PT on staff.Safely presuming I don’t win the lottery, I’m sure I’ll be back for the next one. Couldn’t say nicer things about The Fit Institute and its leadership.

Been attending TFI for about two months and have seen great results in a short period of time. When I started at TFI was seven months after a surgery to correct a broken tibial plateau and six months of PT at a large chain. Massively appreciate the individual attention and treatment plan given at TFI and highly recommend to all in need!

This is, by FAR, the best physical therapy facility I've ever been to. Tom has his doctorate in physical therapy and is a vestibular specialist. I suffer from rehabilitating vertigo attacks, and since working with Tom I've received amazing care. I now have preventative exercises I can do (and he is up on all the latest research in this area, including things like adding a cognitive aspect to the exercises helps your brain build a better vestibular "muscle"). Highly, highly recommended.
