The Golden Triangle is a high point for fine furnishings, antique and modern, Asian and European, in the Chicago area. I have been a patron for several decades and have the greatest respect for their selection of furniture, rugs and decor items, with which I have liberally stocked my house. In an age where so much is made to be impermanent, the Golden Triangle offers a frequently-refreshed gallery of pieces to keep and treasure. Their talented sales staff and customer service matches the consistent quality of the offerings, every one of which tells a story.

Golden Triangle is off the charts fabulous. Their products are beautiful and truly special. Their excellence is matched or exceeded by the owners and staff and the service, care and excellence they provide. Can't say enough good things about them. Only problem is that I want to buy everything when I walk in there.

My wife and I visited Golden Triangle with several small spaces in our house to decorate, but no real plan of attack. After meeting Doug on the showroom floor and taking a tour of the collection we dove headfirst into a large custom installation project to hang above our staircase.Throughout the 2 month project Doug and Pun were great partners and kept us engaged and informed. We got computer rendered visuals and an in store layout preview. All along the way we collaborated with Doug and team on custom coloring and distressing. This location has always been a question mark in our house because of its sheer size and visual importance when you enter. We could not be happier with the results. The scope and wow factor exceed anything we would have been able to create ourselves with a photo gallery or with framed art.We highly recommend Doug and his team for a painless and exceptional experience.

A one of a kind antique dealer! We drive past this place all of the time and decided to stop on in to check out the wares. The owner is extremely knowledgeable. Suggest anyone stop in to enjoy their pieces, and maybe add a new addition to your home.

I found my experience at The golden triangle to be an exceptional one. The owners are extremely knowledgeable and kind, offering their time and expertise in describing their pieces. All of their inventory is beautiful and unique. They have a team of artisans that are wonderfully talented and create beautiful, one of a kind pieces as well as antiques from a number of different countries. Their selection is thoughtfully laid out in beautiful showroom like areas, but the store itself is very comfortable, and allows you to visualize the pieces for your own space in a relaxed setting and environment. They use varied color combinations that are inspired. It's a beautifully, cohesively designed space, and the staff is approachable and helpful. It is a lovely place to spend an afternoon shopping.

The Golden Triangle is a beautiful showroom featuring a variety of antiques from around the world. The space is wonderfully staged and flows so well. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the history behind each piece. It’s a must stop if you’re looking for design inspiration or finding a one of the kind piece.A big thanks to Doug for making us feel so welcome and for making the time to share the history behind some beautiful pieces!

This is a huge, beautiful Asian antiques store located right on the Chicago River. This place is sprawling- 18,000 square feet of stuff. It's all a lot to take in. Going through here is like going through an eccentric millionaire's mansion, or an Asian cultural center. The works of art and pieces of furniture are often on a large scale- that's be a huge centerpiece of any house. It seems that the owners get to travel the world looking for the coolest, oldest stuff from far flung reaches of the world. I'm astounded that some of this stuff is actually for sale- if you need an old dismantled temple, they've had it already broken down and shipped from exotic destinations. The store is divided up in kinda themed rooms. It's all sort of a jumble of Asian cool stuff. The staff is ready to help. I got a few questions in here and there, but for the most part the staff left me alone to browse. They offer free parking in their small little lot out front. There's a pagoda that they have right out in front. I heard that this building used to be the headquarters for the Encyclopedia Brittanica, but I can't vouch for that. The prices here are all fairly epic. But, this is the exact opposite of Ikea- everything is unique, nothing come packaged in easy to ship boxes.

I was visiting Chicago with my friend and walked past the store front of the golden triangle. We are designers and we’d like to think that we have good taste. We decided to go in, purely based on the facade. Immediately when we entered, we knew we would not be disappointed. After a few minutes of browsing the ornate and wonderful curated selection of furnishings and home accessories, we were approached by Doug, the owner of the establishment. We had a long lovely conversation that truly has made our experience in Chicago. We will absolutely be returning to and recommending The Golden Triangle to anyone looking to add personality and style to their house or just wanting to look at beautiful things and have a nice conversation.

I had visited The Golden Triangle when this store participated in Open House Chicago last October. Located on Clark Street just north of the Chicago River, this venue features a unique treasure trove of antiques, architectural elements, and artworks. While a great deal of the selections leans towards Asian objects, there is a fine enough stylistic variety where you will feel like you have visited a small museum after a tour of the lovely showrooms. If you have a mansion to decorate or have a few dollars in your checkbook, you might just be walking away with an incredible find.
