Michelle was hands-down the best manager i've ever had the pleasure of working with. We have stored for years with her, primarily due to her competence and professional demeanor.
It was an easy and intuitive process to store here, and while a couple associates have come and gone, Michelle has always been a familiar and trusted face at this facility.
Fast, friendly, affordable, secure.

I recently rented a storage unit at The Lock Up in Bucktown.
My experience so far has been positive and would recommend them for the following reasons:
From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome. They patiently answered all my questions and helped me choose the right unit size for my needs. A special shoutout to the facility's manager, Michelle. She was really great throughout the process - Thanks Michelle!
The facility is very clean and well-lit. Security is important for me, and I feel confident that my belongings are safe. I also appreciate the flexible access hours. They provide dollies and carts for moving items, which saved me a lot of effort during my move-in. The online payment system is straightforward.

Attentive staff, clean facility, free and easy access to carts and great indoor parking (on both sides of the building) for loading and unloading makes this an excellent option if you need the space.

The storage facility itself is great, however the rates go up the longer you keep the unit. Over the past three years the rate for my rent has gone up incrementally and now costs $150 dollars more per month. I would understand this situation if rates in general were rising due to demand and inflation. However, if I was to go online and rent the same size unit at the same location today, the published rate is the same as the rate I had in 2020. You can draw your own conclusions about what this implies about the Lock Up's business model.

I highly recommend The Lock Up self Storage, By Experience it is a great environment and a Safe place to keep your personal items " it is the one to go to " (when storage).I Definitely recommend them. For sure deserve 2 ???? up & 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

Samantha I’m sorry to say is a very rude person , I can in to look at storage units couple of weeks ago , I was talking to Angela and the units I measured were not exactly 10x10 and Samantha was very rude and acted like I was putting her out while I was asking question and voicing my concerns about it , she turned to Angela and said you can deal with her I can’t today , but again I was not even really talking to her , I had rented the day before with Angela and just so we are clear Angela was very patient , knowledgeable and showed me several units and kept apologizing for Samantha behavior , Angela was the reason why I chose to stay at this facility her customer service is impeccable, and I learned yesterday she is no longer with the company which makes me sad , I will be looking to remove my belongings as soon as possible and not recommend this company .

Feels silly leaving a review for a storage company. But my experience has been fabulous. The staff was beyond accommodating. They were fun, hilarious, helpful, flexible. I don't have a bad thing to say.

LockUp Storage is a truly outstanding facility that has made my storage experience incredibly easy and stress-free. The units are easy to access via two loading docks and there are always plenty of carts. What truly sets LockUp Storage apart is their remarkable customer service. Samantha, the manager, is such a saint. She is willing to work with customers needs and goes the extra mile. Couldn't recommend higher.
