Visiting Chicago from Indiana. Found the bookstore on Yelp and thought it would be really great to see. Walked from our hotel to the Blue line. Road the Blue line all the way to where we were supposed to get off. Walked to the store but it was closed. We were there at 11 but the store doesn't open until 11:30. We went walking down the street until it opened up. Found another book store which was really cozy, fun, and cute. Made it back to the store at 11:45. Store was still closed. Went into the record store for a few more minutes to wait. Still no one there. Went all the way back to our hotel and visited a different bookstore and bought stuff there. Thought the concept was pretty unique but lost my only opportunity to visit.

It's a cute little spy-themed shop with fun toys for kids. It's not worth a special trip, but do check it out if you are in the neighborhood.

CALL FIRST! They are not open despite their posted hours on Google. Arrived at 3pm on a Friday when it says they are open until 5:30. Record store next door said the spy shop is only open randomly.

This was an unexpected quirky store . Lots of trinkets and ideas kids created and were sold in this store, along with different creative books. Overall a very unique and fun store to be surprised. Right next to Shuga Records on Milwaukee Ave.

It’s a small store, but very big inside. You cannot be disappointed to this store. There are various kinds of clothing, bags, shoes, etc. They are also offering books. They are very friendly and accommodating. Their attitude is very approachable. The smell upon entering is like a freshly opened shirts. The place is clean and organized. The parking space is not so crowded. I will definitely recommend this to my friends and relatives, especially those who love books, buy clothing, shoes and accessories. I just bought some clothes, shoes, a bag and some books. Thank you very much for your excellent service.

Such a cool little store! We went in and found out it’s a non profit for helping kids with writing and that’s so neat. Lots of fun little things in it. Got this fun puzzle there, and it was a fun place to visit!

Visited at 3:30 on a Friday. Sign on the door said open. Hours on the door said open. Google said open. Doors locked and no one inside to answer our knocks.

The not-so-secret secret about Wicker Park’s Secret Agent Supply Co. store is that it’s really a front for the non-profit org 826 Chicago. The store has fun knick knacks, gifts, books, stationary and some spy-themed toys and gadgets but ALSO they sell the collected writing works of the students their organization supports. 826CHI is a non-profit creative writing, tutoring, and publishing center dedicated to amplifying the voices of Chicago youth- through after-school tutoring, field trips, and writing workshops for Chicago students 6-18 years old. All the proceeds from the Secret Agent Supply Co. store support/fund those programs- and 826CHI’s publishing arm also uplifts student writers from these programs by making them published writers. Check out the store & support Chicago’s young writers at the same time- it’s a win-win. The org & store also have a lot of volunteers helping, and it’s always a friendly place to check out.
