Customer service is horrible. They don’t know how to do. Their job took an hour just a price match an item and 3 different employees. I will never shot here again. I’d recommend you to a different location.

Pros- big parking lot, hot dogs inside, usually pretty clean, online is usually correct on where the product in the aisle is, and employees usually pretty knowledgeable
Cons- hard to find employees at times, have been suspected of stealing more than once & my cart searched (maybe because i dress like I’m homeless), customers of this store are often rude & have gotten confrontational over being in a rush

The store has very poor inventory management and customer service. I went there today to exchange a propane tank. Upon entering, I was instructed to leave the tank outside near the other propane tanks, which I did without issue. However, after spending about 10 minutes inside to pay for the exchange, I returned to find my tank missing. The head cashier then asked me to identify everyone I had spoken with, but since everyone was wearing masks, I couldn't be certain. She then condescendingly implied that I was attempting some sort of deception, stating that this time, she would let it slide, but next time I’d have to pay the full price. No worries, there won't be a next time.

The folks working here are absolutely the most unhelpful people out of any Home Depot I've ever been to.
You'll be standing by the lumber saws waiting for someone and they'll do a bad job pretending they don't see you. You'll try to get their attention and they pretend not to hear you. And then you ask at the front desk, they call someone over to help you, and nobody ever comes!
Update: someone finally came by 25 minutes after they called it over the speaker.

I just moved here from California and all I can say is Chicago is THE WORST place for customer service. Why is everyone so miserable, unhappy, and lazy??? Went here for a toilet brush/plunger combo. Said there were 19 in stock at the store but 0 on the shelf. Went to customer service and they called someone - no one came. There were 3 employees (with a forklift) in the aisle I was in and needed help in. The manager came over, called her MAYBE 20 year old employee over to scan. He says “yeah we have some but they’re on a pallet…” me waiting for him to add to the sentence like “I’ll go grab them” but he just stares at me. I said okay? What does that mean? He said “it will have to be pulled down…” still not finishing his customer service sentence I said “okay?? Well can you go grab 2 of them??” He said “uhh..sure, give me 15 minutes”
15 minutes??? Okay so I waited. Kid never ever came back, not like he sounded like he actually wanted to do his job anyway.
Ended up taking myself and my business over to Lowe’s where I had better luck and got what I needed.
Day after day all I run into are lazy employees with horrible attitudes. The next year can’t go quick so I can get myself back on the normal side of the country!!!! Where there’s sunshine and people aren’t completely miserable

I seriously don't know why I keep coming back when my expectations are so low but at least now I can finally stop coming here. I had to go to TWO store today to find one product. I spent more than 20 minutes trying to find an employee to help me. Absolutely nothing about this place is convenient. Once I got the actual product down it was to dirty to use. Also, they don't accept Apple pay and more than once I've been charged twice when using my debit card. I hate to be party to closing brick and mortar stores but I just gave up and bought the damn thing online.

The worse Home Depot Brickyard store ever! Bad service and no staff makes any effort to assist. My family will never step a foot at any of the stores for this reason. Lowes and Menards will now be our go-to store in place of Home Depot. It's a waste of time and gas to this store and if I was able to give it a "0" star that's what it would get from me.

Why is so hard to get help at the store? Employees must be thankful that they have work, they are only watching phones and when you ask for help they are rudes! What’s going on! Don’t even try to get help with keys, nobody will help! Home Depot managers, if you don’t like your job let another person to do it!

Garden service is nonexistent. Staff is rude and ill informed. There is no parking for garden center. The flowers and garden offerings are sparse and under maintenance. I have been purchasing from this place for several years and have never seen such neglect.
