Poor customer service. I asked a man who I believe was a manager for help on correctly selecting the men’s version of a perfume. I was purchasing this as a gift and didn’t want to make the wrong pick and accidentally get the women’s. He was rude, dismissive and was annoyed with this simple ask. I purchased what he told me was the correct one. Gave it as a gift, to find out it was the wrong gender. Purposely didn’t want to have this happen and it still did. The overall interaction was my worst Ulta experience.

I had a very frustrating experience at this Ulta Beauty. I called ahead to confirm availability for a salon service, and was told someone would be able to help me. When I arrived, I was told the person was on a 10-minute break and asked to wait. I ended up waiting over 30 minutes with no updates or assistance. When I returned to the front to check in, the staff seemed confused, and the employee who initially helped me was nowhere to be found. I essentially wasted an hour with no service provided. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this location—there are other Ulta stores in the city that are far more organized and professional.

Cat is a makeup magician! She matched the perfect shade for my concealer. She taught me about using powder and mist to set my makeup. She took her time to answer any of my questions. I thanked her about a million times! Ulta thank you for having a superstar Cat help me today! I made my day!

Royal did my hair and it was a 10/10 experience all around. She was super knowledgeable, a great conversationalist, and recommended some fantastic products for my hair. I'll definitely be back!

Nothing is ever in stock, many of the cecred bottles were dirty and cracked, and as someone who is highly allergic to dogs, please stop allowing non-service animals into make up stores. It’s highly unsanitary and inconvenient.

It’s extremely disappointing as someone who worked with the company for five years to see that they hire just anybody at this location. I’m not someone who makes complains. Let alone puts reviews on places, but I’ve had multiple bad experiences here solely because they’re sales advisors/shift leads are rude. They are almost always out of the product. I’m looking for even when I go after they received their truck. On top of that when I’ve asked for items to double check to make sure that they have them. I’m always met with an attitude. And I’m always told the inventory updates automatically. And being someone who worked for the company for as long as I did, I dealt with my fair share of the inventory system. Not working well. Being kept on hold for 10 minutes on the phone is also ridiculous. I fully understand why people say, they do not like going into Ulta because they haven’t had good experiences

Today, my boyfriend & I had an awful experience at the West Loop location. Several employees, one named Sierra (spellcheck) who had on a black skirt & white shirt & one tall, bearded gentleman with a green button up shirt followed us around the store. I was too busy shopping to notice, but my boyfriend pointed out the fact that, every time we moved a section, so did these two & they would be randomly touching items in the section to appear to be doing something. Now, as a regular patron of Ulta (you can check my account to see I have been with you all for several years) - I am disgusted by such behavior. Just because a Black couple comes into the store, does not mean they are looking to steal. Not only do we LIVE in west loop but we WORK a block down from this location & we do not appreciate the fact that we were profiled & made to feel extremely uncomfortable.
Ironically, Sierra was the person who checked us out & not only was she rude but she in no way, shame, or form made us feel welcomed to spend our hard earned money at this store.
With that, I would highly suggest that you all stop following customers based on what they look like & actually attempt to give kind & decent customer service.

Needs a better manager. Me and other people waited in 30 minutes while one girl was working at the register by herself and clearly was a new hire. When the girl calls her manager over for help, she barely cares and takes her sweet time. Felt bad for the new girl. Clearly has a rude manager who is superrr lazy

Have been to the salon twice, once for a hair cut and another for highlights. I am always so scared to change up my hair and leave the control in a hairstylists hands, but April S is truly THE BEST. She listens to what you want carefully and makes sure your concerns are heard. She always does a BEAUTIFUL JOB and makes my hair look naturally beautiful. She takes her time and has always made me leave happy and cared for!!!!

It was my second visit getting my hair braided, the first time Royal braided my hair too tight and I told her not to this most recent time and she didn't braid it too tight. The style I asked for this most recent time was half box braids and half corn rows. She made them small (which I didn't ask for), it took 7 hours, and wasn't transparent about the price at the beginning. She charged me $250 when I paid $150 for crochet the first time. Braids were mid back length, didn't tuck the ends, didn't clean up each braid with scissors, and wasn't gentle on my natural hair.
