For starters, I can't give you even 1 star being that I've never experienced such unprofessionalism, rudeness, and nastiness from a banking institution in my life. I have been a customer of the United Credit Union for right at 40 years, which I close my account back in 2020 because of the rudeness I experienced from the manager and the tellers in the Hyde Park location, the Pulaski location was okay I've reported this several times via phone and in Communications now fast forward , I'm also a member of the Great Lakes Credit Union which is one of your sister institutions where I can at least make deposits so I've been going to the Western location and that's just as bad as Hyde park. Someone needs to do something about the customer service and everybody complains about that what I saw a teller do to a lady and her grandmother that was in a wheelchair today was unfathomable it is so ridiculous and it has not been one time that I've gone in the United Credit Union and have not had a bad experience so somebody needs to do something to try to train your employees about customer service because they have none I repeat none, and had it not been for the fact that they don't have any great credit unions in the inner city, I wouldn't go to United Credit Union at all again I close my account after being a member of yours both me my son and his wife for many many years me at about 40 years myself

I just had the worst experience on the phone with someone at the Pulaski Branch. Absolutely abysmal customer service and instead of an explanation when I asked a question there was a rude "no." Sorry, but as soon as I pay off my loan, I am closing my account and will no longer be doing business with United Credit Union. I highly recommend anyone considering their services shop around for a much better place with much better customer service. And if you have any doubts about what I'm saying, just take a look at the dozens of 1 to 2 star reviews.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with United Credit Union, and I must say that I am thoroughly disappointed with the level of customer service provided. The lack of responsiveness and professionalism displayed by this institution is nothing short of abysmal.To begin with, the unreturned phone calls and messages were a clear indication of the bank's disregard for its customers. Despite numerous attempts to reach out and seek assistance, it seemed like my concerns were falling on deaf ears. It is incredibly frustrating to be left in the dark and have to continuously follow up, only to be met with silence.Furthermore, my interactions with the staff at the Hyde Park branche left much to be desired. The employees demonstrated a poor attitude and a complete lack of common courtesy. It was evident that they had no interest in providing quality service or addressing customer inquiries. Their dismissive and apathetic behavior only added to the already dismal experience.To make matters worse, I overheard bank employees engaging in derogatory discussions about other customers while I was present in the branch. This not only displayed a lack of professionalism but also raised concerns about the privacy and confidentiality of customer information. It is completely unacceptable for employees to openly discuss and criticize customers within earshot.The bare minimum I ask for is common courtesy, and I certainly did not receive that from United Credit Union. The consistent lack of customer service and the deplorable behavior exhibited by the staff have left me feeling frustrated, disrespected, and utterly dissatisfied.In conclusion, I strongly advise anyone considering United Credit Union to think twice before entrusting their financial needs to this institution. The poor customer service, unreturned communications, and disrespectful behavior exhibited by the employees are indicative of an organization that prioritizes its own interests over those of its customers. Save yourself the frustration and seek out a more customer-oriented financial institution.

Never answer phones , let me repeat that ... they never answer phone calls & when you leave a message, they don't return calls. Most websites are blocked from purchases because they had a breach in security last year , so your debit card is pretty much useless. Worst customer service I've ever seen.

United Credit Union is awful at least the customer service provision in the Chicagoland site.The employees act like they are doing you a favor receiving your hard earned money.They need more customer service skill training.Terrible. I just joined this credit union and I am rethinking my decision.This is your job; If you are not trained for the job; give it to someone who is.

Terrible customer service! I understand everyone always has bad moments or a bad day, but every time I have been here the individuals at the tellers are really miserable!!!

Man oh man, are they outdated!!!! The ATM never works so you'll need to fill out lengthy 80s style paper work to withdraw cash!!! Cmon man lol, try at least update your ATM technology lol ! It's a joke... FYI, the ATM in Evergreen Park is 100x better n so is service.

I have been trying to call all 3 of their location in chicagoland area for the past couplehours and no response at all.Obviously the company employees need some serious training or simply new management maybe even a new CEO with customer friendly culture.

How many times do you need to call to get anyone on the phone. So far I have called 5 times - no one there. Left 5 messages and no call back.

Awful customer service. They don’t return phone calls. Literally have to walk in there to make any kind of inquiry. Referred my family members when I opened my accounts because I didn’t know how awful they are and my family members were so dissatisfied they closed their accounts. I want to do more business but cannot with a place like this. I’m taking my business elsewhere.

Came ALL the way to 4444 S. Pulaski to find out they Closed at 1pm today 9/29/2022 which was NOT stated per my phone call or Website….. It is a inconvenience for customers on Public Transportation to travel and you are CLOSED. Inform your customers properly!!!!! You got OUR money but we can not access it….. we are NOT in a Hurricane?what’s for not having proper Information?

don't patronize this place..... the white receptionist to the right as soon as you enter .. I had spoken to her the prior day.. she asked to bring in current utility bills and other bs excuses.. so I would not open an account .. I lost my wallet with my driver's license and I'd in it... . I was trying to open a savings account ... I was told come back with proof of who you are .. the 1st day... OK.. 2nd day.. I came back with with my company's business card .. my passport.. my social security card.. my citizenship certificate.. photo included In it of course.... my current address bill's of cell ... light and gas.. of my property.. told them I had lost my wallet but I had a pic of my drivers license on my cell too.. which I also showed to the recepcionist. only.. ... cause for some reason I could not talk to the office manager directly so the token black female receptionist. the office . .. was going back and forth with my documentation.... instead of me explaining directly to the office manager.. the situation.. this place is a sad place to do business with.. and most likely the supervisor is a trump supporter..
