Recently had an issue with a delivery and stopped by this office for support.
I can’t thank Rachel enough for hearing my situation, sharing alternative solves, and ultimately digging through packages and chatting with carriers on site to try to recover my package over the course of my 2 visits. Huge relief and immense gratitude

Terrible service! There is an older lady that work there name Jessica Williams or Johnson and she was very rude and disrespectful to all the customers. I have a recording of her cursing me out and complaining about how she should’ve left and why did I come here this late doing two custom shippings. She messed up my shipping twice and was slow and incompetent. Please get rid of her.

Rachel is the name of the rep who assisted me with sending an international package. I arrived a little after 8:30am, there were 2 people ahead of me, Rachel was working alone at that time, I saw no other reps. She greeted me with a smile, walked me through the process of completing the required form and gave me helpful suggestions. I had a great experience thanks to Rachel. I left completely satisfied. I hope her manager reads this review.

Absolute disgrace of a facility. A package from the same state has been crawling through this dump for over a week. “In Transit to Next Facility” apparently means they’re parked in a chair doing nothing. NYC moves millions more packages every day and still gets things done in 1–2 days — but Chicago 60607 can’t handle a short in-state trip without losing a week. Lazy, incompetent, and proud of it. If USPS had any standards, this place would be shut down.

This is the main Post office in Chicago,so you expect a good service, 8 out of 10 times you go there you get a bad service, sometimes you go there like 2 hours before closing and there's no body to take care of you They have this like a moving gate and you go there and of the sudden the gate is closed, so why do you say that you open until midnight if you open and close whenever you feel like it , and most of the people who work there are not friendly at all.
I had to downgrade the service from 2 Stars to one star because honestly this might be the worst Post office not just in Chicago but in planet earth :(.

THE HOURS LISTED ON GOOGLE MAPS AND AT THE PLACE ARE NOT ACCURATE. I have gone to this location several times and it has been closed when it supposed to be open. It’s very frustrating and inconsiderate. If you all update the hours posted everywhere that would be greatly appreciated.

After a very confusing experience at another post office in an attempt to get a passport, I made an appointment here. A confirmed appointment. Showed up and the postal workers behind the counter said there was no one certified to handle passports today. lol then why do they accept appointments. They became very defensive out of no where and shouted “it’s no one’s fault!!” when I asked how I could make an appointment with someone that can process passports. Truly miserable people. Just trying to get a passport for my toddler.

Yet again, a negative review thanks to Ron the Post office Clerk or jerk I should say. Can someone seriously fire him already. Not only did we wait in a ridiculously long queue, during which he took his sweet time to serve people, he was also incredibly rude and unhelpful. Loved to find a problem with us sending our package, not happy when we presented a solution (by the way he threw our package on the floor). I’ll add the woman next him making snide remarks was also not appreciated, I get you hate your job but don’t take it out on the people using the service. If it’s not clear enough already, I’d go as far as to that say the eighth wonder of the world is not the pyramids but Ron still keeping his job.

This Post Office is a disgrace to be called part of the postal service. They do no answer the phone and don't give a shit. I am in Peoria and Registered Mail goes through this post office and they hold packages for days or even weeks before they release the package to move eventually to its final location. They don't answer to anyone just collect their salaries then pensions and put in the time but that is it! They are completely worthless,period. I sent my last Registered Package last Thursday and it is still sitting there since June 1st. It makes me sick to my stomach and stressed as Hell dealing with this issue! Terrible 😞😞

Appalling. I carried a bunch of heavy parcels across this enormous building- it was supposedly open but there was not one living soul in sight. Even so much as a security guard. Never seen anything like it.

Dropped off packages and scanned 10 in via the kiosk last week and there still has no second scan on any of the packages... Will not answer any of the phone calls either.
