Viet Hoa Plaza is a real deal Vietnamese and Asian grocery store, one of the oldest markets on Argyle. It is the original store that provided all the Asian ingredients for many families. The store sells a wide variety of Asian goods, including fresh produce, seafood, meat, snacks, drinks, and every condiment you could want. Shoppers can find super fresh and hard-to-find Asian vegetables, live blue crabs, interesting frozen choices, fresh refrigerated noodles, and sauces from many countries like the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, China, Japan, and Korea. The prices are good, cheap, and a lot cheaper than traditional grocery stores, with far lower prices than other bigger stores. The owner and everyone who works there are described as exceptionally kind, genuine, helpful, and compassionate. Many customers have heartwarming memories of their kindness, which makes the store hold a special place in their hearts. The store is always busy, especially on Sundays. It has a small parking lot that does not fit many vehicles, but street parking is sometimes available. Customers have been shopping there for years and even decades, highly recommending it for its authentic selection, lower prices, and friendly atmosphere. It is like a little bit of Chinatown and a different adventure into another world.
So much better and far lower prices (especially all the Filipino stuff) than that other bigger store farther west. Just living in the next neighborhood north, is a plus.

The real deal Vietnamese grocery.. live blue crabs and every condiment you could want. Fresh mung Bean sprouts, fresh hard to find veg. frozen choices very interesting. I could spend all day there!

They had so many Filipino items. I was extremely happy to see the selection! Will definitely come here way more often.
