Volumes Bookcafe is a lovely, cozy, and cool independent bookstore and coffee shop in Chicago. It offers an eclectic and terrific selection of books, with a little bit of everything, including new and used books. The selection isn't massive but is interesting and well-curated. It is a great place to browse, buy, or read a book while enjoying a quite good coffee, matcha, or other drink. The atmosphere is delightful and relaxing, with a great aesthetic and a good amount of seating. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and amazing, clearly loving books and being open to new authors. It is a nice combo and a fun find, more interesting than the average cafe, and is definitely recommended.
It really feels calm, chill! Just one thing, as a chef, unfortunately cookbooks are not enough.

Cakes a little bit too sweet, but really soft. The donut is my favorite as it is so delicious.

This is such a great idea. You can have a drink and browse their stack. It's very cool with a variety of books. Also, they are open to bringing in new authors, too. Definitely, another cool local Chicago bookstore.
