Cakes a little bit too sweet, but really soft. The donut is my favorite as it is so delicious.

This is such a great idea. You can have a drink and browse their stack. It's very cool with a variety of books. Also, they are open to bringing in new authors, too. Definitely, another cool local Chicago bookstore.

A nice coffee - book shop combo. There's a good amount of seating available too. I ordered a matcha latte and an Earl Grey scone. The matcha was great, but the scone tasted like it was a couple days old...

Love when books meet coffee. It’s a great coffee shop to find your next read. They also have games and puzzles to do.

Volumes is a lovely, cozy bookstore with an impeccable selection of books. I always find a new treasure when I stop by, and being able to grab a coffee to sip on while I browse is just delightful! The selection here isn't massive, but there's a little bit of everything, and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. If you're in the market for books, close the Amazon app and stop into Volumes. You won't regret it!

Cute vibes. Stopped in one rainy day to find a specific book but they were actually very small inventory for a bookstore. What I did enjoy tho were the cafe and chill book reading vibes. They have chairs for you to sit and read in which was a nice activity on a rainy day. Will be back for the vibes but will either bring my own book or call ahead to see if they have the one I want in store next time. If you're looking to browse a bookstore, I wouldn't recommend this place for that specifically as they don't have many books on display.

I absolutely love Volumes, which I've made my regular bookstore. The staff are all friendly and helpful, and the place is warm and cozy. They're usually stocked with the books I'm looking for, and there are also some notes about staff faves and reccs. The cafe also has a solid selection of drinks, and the seating is great for reading or getting some work done. I've also gone to some of their book clubs which really added to my reading experience. Highly recommend popping by if you're in the area!

Such a cute neighborhood spot for books. I love bringing my nanny kid for their story time. They are very accommodating and let me roll the stroller inside. There is also a cafe in store; I always get an iced oatmilk latte (always frothy and perfectly balanced) and a seasonal pastry; this fall it's an apple galette and it is absolutely to die for warmed up. There is also an adorable assortment of gifts for adults and children. I also always see people working around the bookstore and it seems like a cozy place to do that.
