Let me start by mentioning that I've never ever written a negative review on any company ever. As a business owner myself in more than one industry, I can appreciate that everyone has a bad day now and then and no reason to trash a business or company over everyday nonsense. I have to say though- my experience over the last 10 hours at this Walgreens Pharmacy is nothing like I've ever experienced anytime in my entire life.Last night, I stopped in to pick up orders for a family member and there was some confusion with my insurance coverage, which changed recently, and needed some time to confirm in the system. Fair enough. I patiently waited with my young daughter next to me as this was taking place, while the lead pharmacist lady walked out for a break early on during this exchange. When her associate couldn't figure it out and asked her to assist upon returning from this 10+ min break, she said "...well no I don't get paid in another couple minutes- my shift is over- you're going to have to come back tomorrow morning."OKThis morning I returned. There was a different pharmacist there as I arrived close to the open at 8:00 a.m. he woud barely let me ask a question or explain anything... he spoke so quickly and so rudely While he looked up the insurance info, he was not willing to look at a letter I had with me verifying that this particular family member was on the plan or help in any other way to try and reconcile this with the insurance company. After I explained what happened last night, he said "well yeah that makes sense we don't get paid past our shifts" what do you expect?"What do I expect? Some decency and common courtesy for a long time customer.Rude, condescending and impatient. Both at night and then again in the morning- two different pharmacists- same situation. Unbelievable. There were no other customers there I was being polite patient despite all of this. I wound up paying cash because I just needed to get out of there and will need to deal with this a different way.If anyone needs a refresher themselves, or to train their staff, in poor customer service and etiquette- I would highly recommend visiting the Walgreens Pharmacy on Western Avenue; day or night.

I have had up and down experiences at this store, but the last two times have been great so I'm going to give them their kudos. The last time was a curbside delivery mix-up in which (completely my fault) I sent one order to another location and another one to this one. For whatever reason, my order here wasn't ready, and I was outside for at least 10 minutes. But when I realized I made a mistake and the other half of my order was at another store, I decided to just call and ask if I could come in (with my dog). They were very flexible with this, probably because my dog is well-behaved. (Oddly enough, there were at least four women gushing over her and lost all their cool at the sight of my dog, who seemed more interested in staring at the magazines.)The cashier who helped me apologized for my curbside delivery never being acknowledged, quickly checked out my items and was very friendly. Never seen him before, so I'm guessing he's new (brown-skinned, African-American, around 6'0, medium build). Then today I came in the store and got my pick-up inside. The photo lab, which I usually gripe about because two workers kept reaching over the counter to auto-reject charity donations, was where pick-ups are. I grumbled internally. But one of those same ladies who reached around the counter was so nice to me that it made me want to take my grumpy review down. (I still feel strongly about that charity, so I won't.) I can't quite apologize because I wasn't wrong, but I definitely appreciate that she was so pleasant in spite of that charity incident. I think there's a new boss there too. He's about 5'7 and Hispanic, and he is on his p's and q's. When I didn't see him keeping an eye on the store staff, he approached me to find out why I had such a tough time with ordering online. (I said it in passing, but it apparently caught his attention as he walked by.)Additionally, there was another manager who was kinda moody during the charity incident. I've seen him a couple more times since then, and he's been very nice too. I felt bad because my dog barked at him when she saw him come outside, so apparently one of us is holding a grudge. Overall though, the customer service has improved so much that I don't really care about the curbside wait. The pharmacy people are GREAT 98% of the time (minus one guy who talks over you and I've only seen him 1x). Overall, my experience in the past couple of months during several visits is leaning toward 5 stars.

The pharmacy here is absolutely useless. The pharmacist is rude and also has no clue what she's talking about, a dangerous combination. There techs are very nice but also not well informed. The Walgreens on Chicago a mile east is absolutely phenomenal and I highly suggest going there instead.

Bad customer service at the pharmacy. There is a Arabic lady. She was being so disrespectful and she didn’t want us to give her medicine. We just came from the hospital that’s disrespectful. You guys need more workers there

Seems like my local Walgreens are locking everything that is not over counter. It makes me wonder why kinds of customers do we get here. I used them for years for convenience when they were open 24 hours. Now they don't. They don't have a drive thru which should be part of their plan. But no holding my breath nor use this as my pharmacy location of choice.

This pharmacy is really rude I went in to pick up my moms insulin that she needs and the insulin always comes in a pack of 3 but instead today it came in a Pack of one pen. The pharmacist had the audacity to roll her eyes at me just because I told her my mom usually gets 3 and will never be coming here again

Let's start with Devin in the pharmacy, who hung up on me as was trying to get my questions answered about a prescription that I have been trying to get refilled for two weeks. I was asking him a string of questions about what the problem was, such as why did they move the store for this prescription back to this one when this one didn't have any and it was backordered (originally moved to farther away branch because this one didn't have it last time I tried), why they didn't bother to tell me that it would not be in last Thursday, when I was told it would be, or again yesterday when I was told it would be in on Monday, etc. But Devin didn't want to wait until I was done asking this string of questions and hung up on me. Then Devin and the pharmacy refused to pick up the phone, WHEN I WAS IN CRISIS BECAUSE I WAS DOWN TO NO MORE PILLS. So I go in there only to be talked down to by Devin, while I am just desperately trying to get the prescription that I need. But the pharmacy as a whole has been a huge letdown the past two weeks as I try to get my medication, calling as early as I could to get my refill last Monday. When I went in this Monday, they said that they would talk to the pharmacy manager since the pills didn't come in the previous Thursday when they said it would a week earlier. But then they assured me that since they were talking to the pharmacy manager that day, it would be in this Thursday (yesterday). Did they bother to let me know that was not happening when they realized it didn't come or wasn't coming when they told me I could expect it? No. Didn't bother. And why go through with moving the pharmacy location back to their store when they didn't have the pills in stock in the first place? But the worst was Devin's condescension and treatment of me. When I asked to speak to a manager about how I was being treated, he just told me to call some 1-800 number. Hopefully someone at this branch is reading this and can address this situation. No patient in crisis and panicking because he can't get his medication should be treated like this. You should be ashamed. I should not be crying again due to all of my futile efforts to get a refill and how I am being treated as I desperately try to get the pills I need. I am at the mercy of these gatekeepers like Devin, who decided it would be a better idea to hang up and stop picking up the phone than to work with me to find a solution. Do I expect Devin to slow roll this now that I have gone into the store since it was the only way that I could get this addressed due to his refusal to pick up the phone? At this point, yes I do. Devin has thus far shown me only evidence he is a petty small person who would rather not take a call than help a desperate patient in need. Do you know Devin? Tell him he needs to do better. I am in tears, have lost faith in this pharmacy and desperate thanks to this guy.

Worse employees, never welcome customer works there as if they are doing a favor on us,some times I feel like are you guys working here for free, if you ask them for help they are so rude and no smile at all, even the pharmacy technician was the same, my daughter got sick just wanted to ask her if that nasal spray was ok to use as she still 6 months old! She replied I'm not sure I was like whattttttt do you mean , you can always say I don't recommend you take any medication just call the doctor , it's so simple but just because it was closing time she dint wanted to help me out, if you are in a medical filed understand the needs of patients just not getting paid with out any hard work
