unfortunately this is the most beautifully redone store… but the worst pharmacy experience from a person using technology perspective. When you call in your prescription it does say the pharmacist will be gone for a break at 1 pm. However 2 days ago Walgreens stopped staffing altogether at breaks (pharmacy techs usually cover when pharmacists are out or another pharmacist). The energy is not good from the managerial staff around explaining this — and the automated phone recording does not say it’s closed for 30 min. When you walk into the pharmacy area, you must check in on a terminal. The terminal tells you to proceed to the specific # window now. Then the pharmacist (the only nice person currently — Ms. Ivory) has to tell each person actually there is a line “pharmacy line status” TV to refer and wait longer.

The new layout is amazing. Quick pickup area is clean and organized, waiting for prescriptions is no longer uncomfortable and the long checkout lines are gone. In and out take half as long now.

The new version of the store is awful - it’s not so much a store as it is a pickup location for online orders. What kind of Walgreens doesn’t sell greeting cards and only one brand/make of mascara? Given that Target is less than a five minute walk away, there isn’t much of a point for this place to exist.

Corporate ruined this Walgreens now it's 90% empty space so it can be used for online ordering with 25% of their original selection available for walk-ins. I hope Walgreens is not planning on doing this to all their locations bc that would be a disaster.

They changed to this weird minimal store with minimal items, big online pickup and large pharmacist section. Pharmacy is fine but don't bother for anything else- kiosk is broken half the time, and you'll get yelled at if you order something that is actually stoked in their minimal self check out store section... but you won't know what is stocked where. Shoulda been a 3 min store run that was easy, became a 10 min trip where I got yelled at.

Everything looked so nice and spacious... this location has been the target of the train riffraff shoplifting all the time. It looks like nice now

How is this inept place even still open. If I could give no stars that is exactly what it deserves. I am going to use everything in me to either see this place totally shut down or everyone from the manager down should be fired and replaced with s that needs and appreciate a job. These are the most un professional and down right rudest people that I have ever come in contact with. I am calling corporate, the alderman, the mayor, .... this is not worthy of people in the community spending money in!!!!

Convenient location but the new experimental renovation makes nobody happy but get confused. Always short staff before and after the renovation. Just make sure use app for pick up then you will save time and energy.

I've now been on the phone to the pharmacy for over an hour. Have to hold for the reception, then transferred to the pharmacy, hold, then dropped. Twice this happened. I'm now on my third try, for the simple request of asking for my prescription to be held until I return from vacay in three days. I haven't ever had thisproblem before they switched to this new concept. If you have a choice I'd take business elsewhere where live help is available.

When Walgreens decides to spend their money on a new design that curbs theft and is uninviting to a common shopper looking to browse for a snack or necessities, it's clearly JUST a pharmacy. A thirsty pharmacy. Just call it "we're only here for the folks with insurance to get their money". More so, it's a beacon of a sign to move out of the South Loop. And to never shop here again.

NEW DESIGN SUCKSLook, I get it. I'm sure there's theft and the new design (kiosks only) helps prevent that.. but you have to actually create decent sized kiosks (not these stupid 10" tablets) and make sure the software if perfect before you release it. The search feature on these tablets is terrible, doesn't do keyword lookups and just isn't intuitive! I bought 2 things and it took me 5 minutes to find them on the tablet. Also, the rep didn't know what I bought because apparently there wasn't a product image on her side.3/10 . Just wow

Any other Walgreens pharmacy on the planet except this one. Trust and thank me later. A street pharmacist would be better.

This place is poorly run and overpriced. The employees are unbelievably rude! Go across the street to Osco. I'm paying 1/5th of the price for the same prescription with the same insurance. I didn't even know that was possible! Thank God the pharmacists at this Walgreens were so rude - otherwise I would have never tried Osco and saved myself hundreds of dollars! This is not a joke. Compare prices!
